With a different approach by combining cooking classes with great atmosphere, music; refreshing cocktails on the Beach Front. The owner is a true foodie, cooking Thai food for 24 years and teaching in Thailand and Europe 9 years. Only 1 class pr. day, to keep the quality consistent. The profits from the business goes to run the non-profit charity Lanta Animal Welfare. « less

Last year I had a little vacation coming up and wanted to travel to Thailand alone. My only plan was to learn how to cook Thai food. With this in mind, I came across Time for Lime's website and booked both a bungalow and several afternoons cooking. I loved the ambiance, the food, the mojitos. The school gives great insights... After a night out at the restaurant, being impressed with the tasting menu and surroundings, mum and I signed up for the class the next day! We booked directly as the money helps the Lanta Animal Welfare. First of all was an introduction to key ingredients of Thai food and the special ways of cutting each item for each dish... More

Everything about this class was fantastic. The school picks you up at your hotel, and you get a bit of time to have a drink on the beach before you start (great lemongrass margaritas, and best mojitos, ever!). It's worth every baht, as other reviewers have said. I would have even paid more. First, Junie takes you upstairs and gives... More

I thoroughly enjoyed the course I attended at Time for Lime. I wanted to go because I love Thai food but never seemed to get quite the right results when cooking at home - now I can make AMAZING Thai food! The evening is broken up into learning about Thai flavours, preparing vegetables/herbs in the right way (eat me/don't eat... More

Before attending the class, I though the price would be ok because the profits go to a good charity. After taking the roughly 6 hour class, I think it is priced really well for the time, ingredients and work the owner, Junie, and the other organizers provided, even aside from benefiting animals on Koh Lanta. It was great for beginners... More

We attended the class on a Saturday and made red curry paste, chicken satay, peanut sauce, Tom Yum soup, and a shrimp stirfry. Stirfry was 10/10, curry paste and curry quite good, chicken satay/peanut sauce bland (teacher said she was cutting it--good idea), Tom Yum was ok but I could see some people loving it. It should be noted drinks... More

We attended the cook school run by Junie at Time For Lime - what a great thing to do whilst on holiday in ko lanta. There were people of all ages and nationalities there and everyone seemed to really enjoy the cooking and also the explanations of how the different layers of taste in Thai food work together. Junie gave... More

If you love Thai cuisine and want to cook it at home, then I can recommend this course. The course was informative (how to source quality ingredients, how to prepare them and the difference between "eat me" and "don't eat me") and fun but given the size of the class don't expect too much personal attention. The facilities are good... More

My husband (who does not cook but learned a lot) and I took the 5 hour cooking class, it was so much fun! We learned through tasting, teaching, smelling and cooking a lot about Thai cuisine and had a blast with the class of about 10 others. Be sure to get one of the chili lemon grass mojitos from the... A friend and I took this class and were delighted with it. We'd looked at other cooking classes on Koh Lanta but decided to go with this one, even though it was a bit more expensive and were very glad we did. We are mid 60s women and both good to excellent 'home' cooks. We found that with this one... More
