Good part of day, after visiting floating markets. Very good buffet lunch and time to relax whilst looking over pond. Show was very entertaining and while staged was a great portrayal of traditions such as Thai kick boxing, sword fighting and weddings. This was followed by a brief elephant show, short but entertaining. Opportunity to ride elephant and have photos... More

We had lunch there which was not too bad, and then saw an elephant show afterwards. They had the cutest baby elephant which was trained very well. This was more like a cultural center than a rose garden, but the landscaping was nice.

The name put me off at first because I thought it was a literal rose garden - but when I found out it was a cultural centre I was interested. The promise of silk-weaving, pottery-making, umbrella painting, Khon mask masking, mat-weaving, doll-making, fruit carving, garland making, rice-pounding and silver/lacquer ware had me hooked. BUT here's the rub - those activities... More

For those expecting to see roses, there is one largish patch near one of the restaurants. Other than that, it was just a place with very nice grounds, and the restaurant by the river was a good lunch spot. Cultural show was interesting but not exceptional. Elephant show, ditto. Good place to break for a stop if you take the... More

I feel this has gone off a bit from when I was here last. The elephant show it quite brief . The show I felt was very poor, did not compare to the one at Nong Nooch village in Pattaya The grounds were reasonably kept but the roses needed tender loving care.

I loved the relaxed laid back ambiance. There are practically two things to do here: One, watch the elephant show. They dance (or at least bob their heads), play with the hulahoop, roll logs, and walk over their caretakers (without injuring or killing them of course). Two, watch the cultural show. It features the way of life of the Thai... More

We went to the Rose Garden as part of a day tour. Without seeing any of the day tour itinerary or brochure, I was under the impression this was going to be a garden with many different types of local Thai roses on display. Just as well for me it was actually a place to watch a cultural show as... More

We booked this trip through Kuoni when we booked our holiday originally. It was part of a full day trip where we also went to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. We did the trip on our first day in Bangkok and found it to be a good insight to Thailand and their culture. The cultural show at the rose garden was... More

I was actually expecting to see lots of beautiful and colorful roses but when our guide Meowmeow told us that it was just the name...some disappointment of course. It was actually a very green and peaceful resort with teak wood chalets which are very expensive. Somehow they turned the garden into a Thai cultural show house . There are elephant... More
