Nice and quiet lake. Not huge and quite clean. I visited a couple of time and enjoyed it so would recommend.

Out of the way tour, but well worth waiting for it. We were taken by the government vehicle into the forest and hills and beyond the lake to a meadow and back. Awesome views. You need to obtain permission previously for the tour. There is a huge demand.

Mountains and valley views and specially during monsoon when you are suddenly enveloped by the clouds. Entry procedures are tiring and more than 25 vehicles should be allowed inside.

This lake is inside the forest for which you have to get permission from forest department. The vehicles are limited per day, so better be there well before 9.30am. Its about 12km inside the forest. A small lake and its just a walk though its banks. But you have some good locations.

During my earlier years of travel to Kodai I have always wondered what lay beyond the checkpost at Maier Point. Upon further enquiry we were told about this wonderful man made lake in the midst of Silent Valley Sanctuary but required a lot of permissions and it was not really open to public. 2 years back, they have opened the same... The pathway to this lake offers breathtaking views of the landscape. Few surrounding mountains are full of herbs. Do not presume to see animals. I didn't see any.... More

Few places needs to be preserved for our generations to enjoy. Berijam Lake and related sites are few of them. One person can go with his driving licence and pen at 8:30 am at Moir Point (Early in peak season days) with details of Vehicle, occupants. No need to bring everybody early. Remember only 25 vehicles are permitted. The checkpost... More
