Our trip to Berijam Lake was by a coaster arranged by forest guards from suicide point at Kodaikanal heights, way to the lake, we certainly enjoyed where you will be in mist covered roads with lots hairpin curves, if you are lucky you might find wild animals in natural habitat. Trip takes almost 180 minutes with few dangerous hilltops with... More

Had travelled to kodaikanal from bangalore on the good friday weekend. If you are looking for quiet and peace then strike off kodaikanal from your bucket list. Advised that Berryjam lake was less crowded we lined up at Maur Point for permit at 7:30 Am in the morning. The officer was supposed to come by 9 Am for dispatching the... More

It was beautiful, with clouds floating in and out. The surrounding hillside was lush green and reminded one of the Lake District in England.

It is a pristine lake in the middle of the forest. Since I didn't obtain permission from forest department in time, I took the eco-tourism bus trip by the forest department. It took 1.5 hours

Take some eatables with you. Go in the morning then only you can come out for the lunch. Don't depend the drivers to choose the hotel. Choose your own.

One of the star attractions of Kodaikanal is Berijam Lake Forest, a quiet and peaceful place away from Kodai where you can enjoy the virgin beauty of nature. This is not a park or a botanical gardens. Don't expect shops/food stalls or anything of that sort. This is a place where you can enjoy the beauty of nature and you... More

Berijam lake is a bit far from main city but can be reached by local tours and travel buses / cabs. Its a serene lake and not crowded or commercialized like the kodai. You can spend some private time here and take nice photos. Also there is a forest tour which may be taken from the local tour services in... More
