I was amazed on the sounds of the waterfall, when it was heavily raining in kodaikanal, while going to the place, lesser number of tourists were there, and on nearing this fall, i was amazed and frightened on seeing the falls and hearing the sound it has created. What a wonderful falls, the local municipality should arrange roads to this... More

We went there and was disappointed by the sight. The place is strewn with garbage. I have been there a couple of years back(just after monsoon) and had a better experience then.

We went to this picnic spot around 11.00am in Feb 2015. The path leading to the falls is full of garbage. Due to non-rainy season there was a very scanty flow of water. The concerned authorities should keep the place clean and tidy to attract the discerning tourist.

I'm sure the small Bear Shola falls would look great when in full flow. Today there was only a trickle running over the impressively sheer dark granite cliff. Sadly the level of litter was less subdued! While much of Kodaikanal is very clean by Indian standards, the path through forest to Bear Shola falls disappoints somewhat.

These falls were once popular watering hole for bears. SORRY NO BEARS BUT POPULAR PICNIC SPOT. They are best in rainy season but worth a photo visit.

Do not waste your time going here. We walked all the way from lake to this fall expecting to see nice view.. n it was literally waste of time.. we saw people washing their cloths all washing soap wrappers were floating in the water.

The water fall is great and you can go inside it and enjoy. Also there is a small pine forest nearby which becomes an additionla place to have fun.

By the name of it, Bear Shola falls sounded to be some huge waterfull with water gushing at high speeds. However, this was none of it. It was a pretty average fall of approx 20 mts height and around 15 mts width. For those of us, who have been to northern part of India, this one would not be exciting... More
