Wonderful to see.One of the best places in Kodaikanal.Do not be fooled by the entrance,it seems as if entering into a dense forest with narrow roads, and big trees and plants coming over you.Just keep on travelling and then at the end,the beautiful place beholds.

This is purely for nature lovers who love rocky terrain and treks. So not great for family and kids. Without proper life jackets, guards and immediate availability of first aid, caution is advised.

Bear Shola falls is not a waterfall but a small rivulet of water pouring over some rocks. Also the place was littered and full of rubbish. Absolutely not worth visiting.

Well worth the short trek , if you have the enthusiasm for treks. Quite an easy but uphill walk - ideal time would be a post breakfast while the morning is chilly and sun is behind the clouds (which is most days in Kodai). You will be rewarded with a pleasant and scenic view once you reach the top

I loved this place, we almost walked through this water falls stream over the banks of the stream. It's really enjoyable to get in to the deep forest. There was no much water, just little stream was flowing.

Bear Shola falls might see its day with water gushing in cascaded flow but we had our share of disappointment when we visited during the end of July hoping to see something yet found nothing but rocks! No water!! Not a drop!!! Perhaps this place is good for nothing. Only to get a feeling of standing at the bottom of... More

This falls is worth a visit when water is there. The time we visited, kodaikanal is simmering under water scarcity but it rained on the same day. The rains are minimal now and hence the falls is not having water... any way it is a sight to be seen.....

All the water has been piped out for human use - it is just a waterless barren rock in the midst of woods.

We visited this place quite a long time back. The name bear shola is because it is located in the area named Bear Shola road. To get down to lake waters one needs to go down a steep slopy and slippery path. The water in the lake Is very cold and refreshing. Getting down for a few memorable clicks is... More
