This is one of the default places that any tourist would go, but is totally worth it. I found the boat rides nice. The only downside is that the place is a little crowded.

Relaxing atmosphere, small 5km lake in the center of town. Great for paddle boating, leisurely walks. Lots of small shops nearby, I recommend the homemade chocolates which are found almost everywhere in this tourist place. Tried fishing at this lake not feesible as most of the lake is covered by marshy areas.

You can have thirty minutes for boating and you have different options of a pedal boat and the motor boat. Pedal boat is good but you have to pedal the whole thirty minutes which is definitely gonna ache your legs. Its a one time try only..

The lake is the star attraction in Kodaikanal, we took a roving boat ride for 40 minutes and enjoyed the lake and the weather. The lake is kept very clean and water is as pure as it can. We enjoyed the adjacent park located in the banks of the lake. Overall a very nice experience.

The size of this lake is illusory because you can almost always see across but when you go boating or cycling you realise how huge it actually is. Best way to see the lake is to cycle around it. And it is quite peaceful when you leave the shopping area behind. While boating don't exert yourself to cover the whole... More

Excellant views of the lake and surrounding hillsides. Walking early moring is the best time as less people and the lake is so serene & calm. All along the lake front are shops selling gifts.

We reach there about 5pm. With cloudy climate we really have a good ride in boat. Nature view was good.

Be there when the rush is less.Things will be more enjoyable. Cokker's walk is a nice place to walk and loiter... More

Very pleasant ride in the lake. Seeing the nature and good place to take photographs. You can rent a bicycle near the lake and roam around the lake. The tandem ride was excellent, really enjoyed. Very less traffic and crowd when we were there, birds chirping and the trees looked awesome. Also horse rides are available. Do try the hand... More
