A must visit when you visit Kodaikanal! Missing this place makes the whole trip incomplete! Boating here with the clouds right above the water! Awesome experience during my visit!

The lake is very big! Take a cycle for rent ( which costs 20 rupees half an hour ) and have a beautiful ride around the world famous lake! The boating was fun! But the most we enjoyed was the cycle ride! We loved it so much....the road around the lake is not as you guess! It finally goes and... More

The Lake is big enough and widespread in all directions. Boating is a pleasant adventure and one can spend hours during the evenings... For boating, one will have various options to choose from...be it self driven double pedal or family boat, also there are rented Boats where one can relax and enjoy the nature. Apart from Boating, the surrounding of... More

Very beautiful lake on the center of city ..but poorly maintained... Avoid visiting on holidays. Not good drainage around the pool..so rain makes the surroundings dirty and walk around the lake miserable.

Ok so my recollection of the Kodai lake dates back to almost 20 years ago when I was a kid and we took some horse rides around this peaceful and quiet lake. Not this time around! All we found was a dirty lake overflowing with tourists. There was chaos everywhere due to the massive inflow of tourist vehicles compounded with... More

We went with the row boatman and did not do the paddle boat as we had a heavy breakfast at Tredis tea room. The lake is 6kms around circumfrence so better not to walk it. lots of photos can be taken from different angles and boating is mandatory in my opinion. 20 minutes should do. Hope the weather is good... More

It was just a decent lake - but nothing to take your breath away. Surrouded by tourist trappings of all kind. High lake view is much better view of the lake.
