We went to the temple in the evening , Amritsar being a major punjabi - jat city , can proudly boast and say that the complete area (restaurants , cafes etc ) around the temple do not serve any non-vegetarian food at all! We had... More

A divine and spiritual feeling, very well maintained and managed place of worship. Abundant space and a clean atmosphere. Golden Temple in different timelines of teh day gives you different feeling. I loved it at all times.

Wonderful by night with the colour of the temple and for the wrapping of the holy book. And by day, particularly the kitchen which feeds thousands per day and seeing the sikhs bathe in holy water.

Very well maintained & peaceful place. The temple was majestic to say the least. Loved the water around the temple which is full of fishes. One can easily sit & spend 3-4 hours inside the temple. Try to visit the temple before 10 AM to avoid the long queues. Prasad (halwa) is a must try. All the facilities (shoes/bag collection)... More

By far the most sacred place I have ever visited. Was overwhelmed to see visitors taking ownership in cleaning the temple, taking shoes from fellow travellors and even cooking the food
