This guided walk will make your stay memorable. Without Mr Davinder Singh I wouldn't have discovered a fraction of Amritsar's hidden treasures. He is not only knowledgeable but kind and patient. He has a special sense for gauging visitors' needs and communicates history with ease and humour. I was blessed to have found him. Amritsar is lucky to have a... More

I went on a Heritage Walk with Rajwinder as a guide. She is a lovely woman who will have answers for all your questions and will take you places you would have found on your own. It's a 1,5 hour walk for 75 rupies, really worth it! I even went on one more tour with her the day after to... More

I wish we had done this walk on day 1,as it really gives you a feel for Amritsar and the layout of the place. The walk starts from behind the Libray (which is a lovely building in itself) at 9am and 4pm. There is a sign on a tree and if you arrive a little early and wait,Guvindra will collect... More

Read about the Heritage Walk on the net. We followed up by inquiring from people in Amritsar but did not get much information. On April 3, we set out for the Town Hall and were there by 7:50 AM since the walk was to commence from the Town Hall at 8:00 AM. We waited and again checked with local passers... More

We were lucky enough to have Davinder all to ourselves when we turned up for the morning Heritage Walk in February. It was fascinating to be led through the back streets and see so many buildings that must have been magnificent in their youth, and indeed still are. Davinder looked after us very well and spent at least 3 hrs... More

I took the heritage walk after seeing review in tripadvisor. Being Indian none of the place made mark in my mind except delicious Jalebi at Jalebiwala Chowk. I enjoyed more after reading details at Punjab tourism site. So best way to do Heritage walk is take a print "http://www.punjabtourism.gov.in/UploadedFiles/E%20Brochers/Amritsar%20Heritage%20Walk%20Book_23-2-2012.pdf" and move yourself. You can see the glory of past and... More

This was my fourth or fifth visit to Amritsar but it is the first time I really got to know the city in the true sense, thanks to our guide. The inner roads, the ancient city, gurudawars, temples, tress, old shopping areas that are decades and aeons old, etc. Good way to understand the city and also the famous eating... More

Amritsar is so lovely! To make it even more wonderful is Mr Davinder Singh. He knows so much yet he is so humble. He was very helpful, we saw so many Gurdwaras and the heritage of Amritsar. This is a must Heritage walk!

This is a best way to explore real history of Amritsar. we could not have seen all those places and surely would not have understood their significance without this tour. Our guide Ms. Gurvinder was very passionate about her work and quite knowledgeable about the place. She explained the things very nicely and patiently. it costs just Rs. 25 per... More
