I did the walk this morning and thoroughly enjoyed it. Mr Singh is very knowledgable about the city and we went down all the alleys and nooks and crannies of Amritsar. All the spots where as a tourist, I wouldn't think to go. Plus he points out all the interesting tit bits of history. So instead of just walking past... More

This review is for my Heritage Walk tour of Amritsar and for my guide Davinder Singh. I thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of my tour and also Davinder. The tour itself was fun and very informative. This heritage and culture in Amristar is so complex and interesting. This is a city that does not get too many visitors, but was as... More

Its sheer waste of time, it would have been better to sit in one place and see pictures of the glorious past of this city, Besides the place is stinking of garbage as well as urine and faeces. It is very sad indeed , my heart breaks to see the past glory all vanishing due to the negligence and non... More

Mr. Davinder was transferred to another department for the time of election and that's why there is no rours twice a day. But if you call him and arrange a tour (as we did), it is still possible! Number is on the website. Mr. Davinder took us on a tour of Amritsar despite his busy schedule and showed us things... More

We were looking forward to Amritsar Heritage Walk & we actually collected information from Punjab Tourism's kiosk when there was an exhibition in Mumbai. A week before visiting I contacted Mr.Davinder, informing our travel dates and requesting to confirm the timings of walk as I wasn't sure being Holi there was any change in timing. I got a standard reply... More

I did this, walk on 23rd March with Davinder and it was a,very well spent two hours, a passionate man for his culture and a great source of advise and tips, as well as being a genuinely nice guy. The walk takes you through the back streets and you see parts of Amritsar you would never find on your own, watching... More

Whenever I do travel to any state in India, I make it a point to google that country’s tourism department. Maharashtra, Kerala, Goa, Madhya Pradesh have advertisements which are telecast, so we are generally aware that these tourism departments exist. So I was really pleasantly surprised when I found that Punjab Tourism Development Corporation has a really well built fast... More

My guide was not Davinder but Gurinder and he also did an excellent job. His passion for the heritage that is being let to go to ruin is obvious and because of my interest we even when to several other places not on the walk after we had finished. The cost is very low, just 75 Rs, I felt guilty... More

Amritsar has seen some fascinating events in the past, and this Heritage Walk sheds ample light on those. According to me, this was one of the finest heritage walks I have been on (being a constant traveler, I have been on a few). What makes it even better is that it is cheap and not run by a private agency.... More
