I went to Golden Temple on 30th of August, 2015 with my wife and son 17 months old. This place is a heaven for those who believe in God. "Golden Temple", is the holiest Sikh gurdwara located in the city of Amritsar, Punjab, India. The city was founded in 1574 by the fourth Sikh guru, Guru Ram Das. The Harimandir... More

I would highly recommend the Amritsar Heritage Walk. Our guide Devinder was informative, attentive, and kind. You felt that he really cared about his city and about us learning about it. He took time to share breakfast with us and answer any questions afterwards. I definitely learned and saw things that I never would have been able to see otherwise,... More

We did the heritage walk in Amritsar with Davinder Singh. Davinder told us with passion about Amritsar and showed us many things we should not have seen when we did the heritage walk by ourselves. The extra visit in an Amritsar house was very nice! We enjoyed it very much! Thank you, Davinder!! Many greetings, Rene and Marianne Quak from... More

Based on Tripadvisor reviewes we called up Davinder Ji a day before and he asked us to meet at 7 am on 15th August. We reach there on time and to our surprise we were the only couple he had to tale around as other group fizzled out last minute. He reached on time (shows his passion for the job)... More

Not to be confused with Heritage Walk offered out of the booth near the Town Hall. Go to Davinder's website to make arrangement. Davinder Singh is the most wonderful tour guide. We walked the maze of winding streets of Amritsar to see paintings under eves, historical wells, hidden forts, lessor known (but not less significant) temples, and more "off the... More

Amritsar is one of the most interesting cities in India, not only because of famous and breath-taking Golden temple surrounded with the whole complex of Sikh temples and institutes, but also the old town streets in the area contain many treasures. Some of them are pretty obvious, but for exploring the others, man needs some experienced guide from the natives.... More

Very insightful and delightful walk with Davinder Singh. My mom and I were able to get a real feel for Indian culture while on this exciting stroll through the streets of Amritsar. If you are ever in this historic place this Heritage Walk is definitely a must. There are so many fascinating and historical places that you would never even... More

With excellent guide of Mr. Davinder Singh, my friend and I could explore old Amritsar as well as Sikh religion and Golden Temple. The holy book closing ceremony was amazing experience. Walking through the very narrow streets in the historic town gave us a good insight of Amritsar. Very interested and worthy experience!
