We were lucky that the winter timetable for this walk had just started so we began at 9.00 rather than 8.00. This meant that we could easily grab some breakfast before we left the hotel which seemed a good idea. It turned out that there were only the 2 of us on the walk so we had the full attention... This is a must do activity in Amritsar to know about the history of the city and its small lanes. Without a guide it is quite impossible to do it on your own. And without this tour, we would have just just covered the usual places like the Golden temple, Jalian Wala Bhag and the normal shopping streets. This tour... More

The most beautiful, amazing and crowded but still full of eternal peace and calmness is the place known as The Golden Temple.Whether one is religious or not it still gives the feeling of serenity and spiritual peace.Everything is so organised in the Golden Temple.Another place to visit of course is Jalianwala Bagh.Don't forget to have your meal at Bhrawan Da Dhabha.The... Fascinating, cool and quiet morning walk of discovery through the back laneways and bazaars of the Old City. Mr Davinder was my extraordinary guide, revealing exquisite places that could never be otherwise known or found. Finished with the best kulcha breakfast. Not to be missed.

We were taken around by a young lady who was a perfect guide. Prepare yourself for some interesting sights but well worth the effort.

Keep your fingers crossed till the arrival of the guide (who collects the fee of Rs 25/- and distributes the brochures) for this tour as there was no sign of any activity - no ticket window etc. and the locals, mostly news paper vendors inside the Town Hall boundary did not have any clue. The best way to explore the... More

While listing down the things to do in Amritsar, we learnt about a Amritsar Heritage Walk supported by Punjab Heritage and Tourism Promotion Board. We couldn’t think of a better way to discover the holy city than learning about its rich heritage. The walk is organised once daily (From March to November) and twice a day (December to February) for... More

Mr Davinder Singh's tour was the highlight of our weekend in Amritsar. We only had a Saturday morning available, so we were fortunate to secure him as our private guide. Davinders' tour was one of the best I have experienced (I have lived in India for the past 3 years and done many Heritage walks). Loved hearing his passion about... More

Amritsar is a very old city. Its journey from 1564 (approx) when fourth Sikh Guru Ram Das laid foundation of the city to only sikh emperor Maharaja Ranjit Singh to British rule, has left on its wake a rich and diverse cultural repository among the bylanes and locations spread across the city. Tourists normally visit two/ three main attractions like... More
