The temple is in the centre and is surrounded by a pond just like the Golden Temple. The pond has lot of huge sized fish in it.

This lovely temple, unlike the stunningly beautiful Golden Temple, sits in the corner of what is the largest Sikh temple lake, & not in the middle. The vast expanse of water adds a serenity that's supposed to reflect the temple's prayers & spirituality. Beautiful, carved, silver temple doors are of note as is the highly decorative interior.

This temple takes it's inspiration from Golden Temple and the main temple is situated inside the holy pond. It doesn't attract huge crowds but it's definitely worth a visit. The only tricky part is getting to the temple main gate itself. The access is through a narrow road and there are not signboards.

By looking the photos you will not realize immediately it is different from Golden Temple. Off course it is smaller than Golden temple but it is good worth visit. Especially not to miss temple canteen just outside temple ( near shoe stand) while you are coming out of the temple. Delicious food with very very reasonable price. You need to... More

This mandir is great, however they don't have the upkeep with the volunteers and donations to make it standout and be grand as the Golden Temple does. If they maintained it, then there'd be more visitors going here. Overall another tranquil place to visit in Amritsar.

The approach is a let down with run down shops and eateries. The premises are clean and modeled after the Golden Temple. The hustle and bustle of GT are missing and one can actually relax even while inside the sanctum sanctorum.

It's a very Old temple - People believe it to be almost 700 yrs + . Has a lot of similarity with the Golden Temple. Nice peaceful atmosphere and a must visit !!

Another good place to visit in Amritsar. Developed like the Golden Temple. Very old temple - claimed to be 700 years old and the Ramayan period tree with an old Hanuman Temple are the attractions in the same compound.
