We visited punarjani to enjoy their kathakali and marshal arts. You can enjoy some really engrossing performance by the kathakali artists. We reached the venue early to see the artists' make up for the act. You can also click pictures with the artists. The marshal arts performance is one of its kind - with the clashing of weapons and the... More

Don't miss to watch this show when in Kerala. A unique experience indeed where actors don't speak, just abstract movements. We were mesmerized by the looks of the character, their detailed facial expression, eyes, hands and body movement synchronized with the classical beat. Really entertaining!

The Kalarippayattu show was brilliant. The artists are awe inspiring and engaging. Their moves sublime and extremely disciplined. There is a fair amount of audience participation if u are willing and not to mention the photo sessions after the shows are done. Do visit them on ur visit to Munnar. You will not know what hit you.

This performance has two parts of 1 hr each. The first was a kathakali dance performance. The second is a demo on the Kerala martial arts form. This is amazing and a must see. I would highly recommend this.

The show is pretty expensive (Rs. 200 for an hour). The place is pretty cramped and can be uncomfortable - not enough fans or ventilation. Lucky for us it was raining when we visited. The seating is also pretty ordinary. Not what you would expect after paying as much. I saw the Kathakali show. It started off in a promising... More
