The massage place is full with tourist and hope for a good traditional massage. But it turns up worst, the masseur is not experienced and still on training. I personally feels that I waste my time and money.

Watched the marshal arts show with family. Agreed that its a local art show, with good individual talent. However, the concerns are: 1. Very loud irritating music 2. Pronunciation of the conductor is awful (I am an Indian). Self-boastful, loud and hard to comprehend 3. Lack of interaction of the individual performer with the audience - except for few minutes.... They have two shows : Kathakali and Martial Arts. Worst Part: Kathakali show - It is of 60 mins but actual dance is performed only for 5 mins in the last, rest all the time they keep on showing crappy cheap acts which is very boring and all it contained was movement of eyes, hands and face expressions. I suggest... More

There are 2 performances that happen daily: Kathakali and Kalaripayattu. We opted for the second one. And I loved the show. The performance was amazing. The energy, the movement, and the involvement of the audience. Here's a photograph that I took: https://www.facebook.com/AmitRanjanSahuPhotography/photos/a.622651591184489.1073741827.622427657873549/741786925937621/?type=1&theater The only issue was: It's in a lower auditorium and is accessible by stairs. So people with knee... More

Just awesome. Loved it. Punarjani Traditional Village has two shows - Kathakali and Traditional Martial Arts. We went for only the Kathakali, and it was awesome. Next time, Martial Arts too :)

We had been traveling through Kerala together and when in Munnar we wanted to see the kathakali and kalaripayattu. Thus, tickets booked and arrived in the evening. The shows are arranged such that one first sees the kthakali and then the martial arts in the basement. Both are definitly something to check out. As you are taking a seat, one... More

Although not a 'must see', if you have time to spare one evening in Munnar the shows are entertaining. The Kathakli Dancers were quite comical and gave us a bit of a giggle. Quite clever, telling a story with facial and hand movements. The stage and props, and the building itself leave something to be desired but it is India... More

We watched both Kathakali and Martial Arts. The actual dance in Kathakali was only around 15-20 min or so. The remaining time used to show emotions and gestures. The martial arts was however much more interesting and more enjoyable to watch. I'd rate it 4/5 Unfortunately, the anchor's accent and over-enthusiasm didn't help the already poor sound quality - and... More

We watched kathakali and kalaripattu. Getting the seat was tough as we reached slightly late. After settling down, kathakali performance was a delight to watch live. Kalaripattu performers were at their best! Thoroughly enjoyed both of the performances!!!

Watched Kathak and kalaripattu martial art shows on 01/3/2015 while staying at Munnar. The auditorium for Kathakali is make shift and present overall very pathetic look. The show is scheduled for 60 mins but actual dance and sequence is performed only for 20 mins .rest is all cheap acts which are very boring. Not worth a penny. The martial art... More
