Surrounded by tea gardens and forest the dam is really a nice place to visit. Boating, trekking, camping and visiting the Indo Swiss Dairy Farm are the main attractions.

One word to describe this hill station nestled in God's Own Country : AMAZING!!!!! We went there in January and it was cold...but a good cold.. The roads we travel are amazing with everything in it : from hairpin bends to monkeys coming up for a treat!!! The view out the window is soo good, it literally took our breath... More

The road to Mattupetty Dam and the surrounding area is very beautiful. One may even spot a herd of wild elephants on a lucky day. We could not do the boating on the lake as it was full. There are many small shops selling clothes, spices, etc to tourists.

Nothing much to say as the dam is very clean. You can get good photos if you are in the morning. Boating is also there in the lake.

There is nothing very special about the dam. Nor is there much to do - most tourists, I guess, take a break here on their way to the Top Station/Kundala lake. The scenic beauty of the water-body in the lap of mountains is, however, awesome. Horse riding was there and some small eateries selling snacks/tea/coffee too. You can opt for... More

its on the way to several other places, thats the only reason we went there, but seriously there is absolutely nothing to see there, we didnt even take a single click there. the dam is supposed to be something that blocks water to go to other side but here there was NO other side :(.

The boating experience was amazing. Highly recommended to experience this place if one is visiting Munnar. There are 2 types of boats available: speed boat with a capacity of 5 people (500 rs for 15min) and family boat with a capacity of 20 people (1200 rs for 30min).

The overall scenic beauty of the place is good. Nothing much to do here. Most of the tourists visit this place as it is on the way to Top station and other sights.
