It is not a must go really because it's just a road built on top of a dam, but yes it is the nearest you would come to a water body in Munnar. Do visit as it in on the way from Munnar to Echo Point.

One of the nice sight seeing place with several options to spend time. It also have water sports like speed boat & water scooter etc. It is relaxing and enjoyable place.

We hired a family speedboat, even though, we had young kids (9 months and 5 years) they accomodated and drove carefully. The people are amazing

the lake formed by Dam is so large that it gives you a sense of being near a sea. The speed boating in the lake was both adventurous and enjoyable. My wife who otherwise fear boating enjoyed it a lot once it was on water. The place is beautiful as its surroundings beckon us to go for more boat rides.... More

It is a tiny dam with a road built on its top , if you want to go on a boat ride this place can be visited else nothing to be done here.

It is not so good place ,but you can see it on the way to eco point.You can see it on the way.Munnar tea garden is the best places to watch.

Visit early morning to Mattupetty dam to enjoy view of waterbody surrounded by green hills and clean blue sky . Speedboat ride is must to come closer to the nature

it is just a normal dam with no any spectacular view. Actually kerala is so full of nature, that such points don't make any difference after 1 day stay in kerala. You see lots of greenery every where . besides it is getting lot of crowded with all cab drivers bringing all tourists there,. People just keep clicking lots of... More

Actual look and the look on photographs and much hyped tourism brochures are very contrasting just in case of Mattupetty. Waste management fails every where, even the most visited places, I felt ashamed as the foreigners turning face from these stupid looks. who want to paddle on these ugly views. Any way children are jovial all every where. We hope... More
