Stunning views

This place is 35 kms away from the main city. I really enjoyed the views from up there. Didn't spend much time at this place due to shortage of time.

This is place worth the travel it takes to reach it. On traveling beyond echo point for nearly an hour you reach the top station point. The cars do not go beyond one point. A walk of nearly 800 to 1000 metres beyond this point takes to a location with most enchanting view of munnar. It has three sided valley... More

Top station is the farthest place on 1 day itinerary trip in munnar after passing the kundala dam. This place requires appreciable amount of climbing so elderly please take a notice. The location and the misty view is awesome its just that the local shopkeepers have almost occupied one side of the whole route to the entrance thus obstructing the view.... It comes at the border of tamilnadu and kerala.. For some time i was connected to Kerala Network on my mobile. Vehicles can't go till view point. To reach view point have to walk for around 500 meters, out of which around 200 meters is of steep down slopes.. better avoid in rainy days.

Well worth the walk / climb to get to the viewpoint. The entrance is a bit tacky with shops leading to the ticket counter. Once you cross that, it's quite nice. You can see quite a distance all around you. Monsoon/rainy season can be very wet and very windy.

The sky touching mountains, the deep mysterious looking valley below, the steep slopes, the greenery, the chilly weather and the serene atmosphere taking you away from it bloody all, followed by a cup of tea offered by a hotelier who was high on huch!!!
