This is the best place to visit in Munnar. The best time to leave is by 4.30 AM in the morning. It provides a beautiful scenic view of TN and Kerala. Please don't miss the tea factory visit (they show you how tea was manufactured traditionally). The tea also tastes good. Carry some food with you - because, not too... More

Great to see the people and scenery of the tea estate. Lush greenery matched with great history and pride of the munnar people.

this place is fantastic for its views and is in kolukkumalai hills. you can go for a trekking to reach kolukkumalai or opt for 4*4 vehicle. the road is up hill and not advisable for cars. if you are a nature lover, trekking is a good option. it is almost 40 kms from munnar.but i can say worth the travel.... More

The tea plantations extend all over the mountain side. I couldn't confirm if this was once of the ones owned by Tata or the Harrisons. We saw women working to harvest some of the crops. The view as you drive along is what is most impressive about the tea estate.

Open jeep safari with friends in the month of October with a hope that the clouds will clear for us to reach the estate.. Trust me.. It was SPLENDID !!.. A well maintained tea estate.. And do not miss to taste the organic tea there... The best tea ever.. And if possible buy for your home.. Waiting to ride up... More

tea estate is through the provate property of harrison malayalam ltd private property, which is a tea garden, it is the most wonderful location in Munnar, a must visit, can skip other locations but it is worth visiting this place, the mountain top has to be trecked for 1/2 km and on the one side is kerala and on the... More

Must see place when u visit munnar and at the top of it u see both kerala and tamilnadu on each side...worth the ride to the top.

must see place . Kolukkumalai is about more than 7,000 ft above sea level and you can have some excellent views of the far off plains in the bordering State of Tamil Nadu. Kolukkumalai is 38 km from Munnar. the highest organic tea plantations in the world.
