It worth watching this place.... It was a two hour drive(1 side) from the hotel. Jeeps or mahindra max are the only vehicles which can be hired for this place. Its a private tea estate and the highest point is 7130 feet... The drive is really bad as its a 13 kms un-build road with all bumps and jumps but,... More

We were staying at a hotel just out of Munnar town and the manager organised a jeep for us. The drive is bumpy but it is certainly worth the trip. The scenery is some of the best I have seen. When we arrived at the tea house we enjoyed a cup of tea and a walk through the factory. It... More

Kolukkumalai is simply awesome with a superb view of the tea estates and grass hills and a perfect place for chill out & trekking. There you can visit the Tea Factory which is the highest and one of the oldest tea factories in the world. Kolukkumalai got a lovely view of sunrise and you can spot some wild animals if... More

Kolukkumalai Tea Estate is a 40 minute drive from Club Mahindra where I stayed. Leave early in the morning to witness the glorious and remarkable sunrise over Nilgiris. The sky turns from Violet to Orange to Light Pink. So many shades you will have trouble naming them! Reach early and enjoy a breathtaking view. One tip: There is a small... More

At early morning around 4.30 AM, we have started with a group of friends in a Jeep to the hill top to view the sunrise. The ride was adventurous and the view of sunrise from the hill top was awesome. Kolukkumalai sun rise is a must visit when you visit Munar. It was really amazing at the hill top.

We opted to do the Jeep Drive knowing of the terrain but it turned out to be a longer drive than expected. 4 Hours of driving on the rocks can make your back pretty sore. We opted for a private jeep which was worth every penny. The views during the drive were fantastic. The tour guides here are very informative... More

The tea estates are breath-taking. The tea, amazing and the century-old tea factory, beautiful. The bone-jarring ride is worth avoiding, consider trekking it instead.

Great experience in bumpy rock roads on a jeep for an hour to reach there. The spot has tamilnadu and Kerala on each side. Echo point nearby was ok. The world's highest organic tea estate and factory was really worth visiting.
