I have been to Kashmir but, memories of Munnar can't are unforgettable. You will love this place. I will not recommend it for elderly people or may be to some extent families. The ride towards the heights is really thrilling and adventurous. I am not sure if it is included by travel operators in their itinerary. For couples it will... More

Spectacular scenery, particularly near sunrise when you see the distant hills of the western Ghats in a magical pink haze. Get up early for it and you would not regret it. It is higher up than top station and in our opinion had much better views. The tea factory is also worth a visit and the fresh tea from there... More

Breathtaking views @ 7500 ft a.m.s.l, this is world's highest organic tea estate, with a factory that manufactures tea by orthodox methods. The visit to tea factory is very informative. The jeep ride (only option), takes you all the way up, through the numerous tea gardens, with enchanting views. Its a bit bumpy hence people with travel sickness need to... More

The place is a bit far from Munnar and last leg of journey from Suryanelli to Kolukkumalai is not a friendly one but the views from top, the feeling is worth the pain. The place has highest organic tea gardens in the world and is situated at about 7130Feets above MSL and is above the clouds.

The caretakers of Munnar dreams homestay where we stayed, arranged a jeep(Rs 1500) for us. The drive through the estate was thrilling and bumpy. Not recommended for weak hearted. But the view from the top healed all our sprains. Its the Kerala Tamilnadu border and we saw tea estates, Korangini village(Tamilnadu), Munnar top station from above and also the Tea... More

We hired a jeep from our hotel at Rs 1200 and four of us started our journey up at 5am to witness the sunrise. The journey up is quite a torture. The jeep moves at 5kms/hr and there is a track but not a road. The jeep bumps its way through boulders and rocks. We reached up when it was... More

The road however is very very very bumpy and not advisable for patients or people with neck pain or back pain.. my wife had a terrible time up the way as she has... More
