the echo point was a good place to spend not more than 30 minutes. You can have a horse ride if you wish. The main thing here to do is test your volume and see if you fetch ECHO

Place is unclean, no place to sit and relax, you can just have a view for nice photos, you could miss it if you have dearth of time.

I have visited this place and it is totally surrounded by the local shops owners and not possible to take photographs. When you shout loudly in front of the lake you will hear re sound of the same.

I had been to this place earlier in 1997 when it was so beautiful and I was shocked to see how it has been devastated for commercial purposes. The place over looks the lake but dirty.. Owing to so many shops and clearing the echo is very feeble.. Nothing much here than a commercial stop

This stop on the nearby reservoir was included in a sightseeing tour we joined for the day around Munnar. It was a Sunday and the place was crowded. We have travelled through india for three months and we know the problems with litter in most areas of India (most Indians appear to be blind to this and even as travellers... More

In the first sight itself, one can easily see the mess, we human beings, have created around it. Grass is missing on the bank of the river, there is a lot of garbage around, a lot of shops selling knick knacks, people cooking there and having a picnic eventually polluting the place. Boating was offered on pedal boats, which I... More

Nothing here but the Mattupetty dam backwaters, some boating and lots of shops selling knick-knacks. Certainly not a place to visit in mid-afternoon!

A very sluggish place. Nothing to see at all. Even Though there is nothing to see, you will get surprised by the no of people coming there. Just because of the over hyped word of mouth from the local people. You can't even take a proper snap because of the over crowdedness. Someone or other will keep coming in the... More
