They are everywhere and grown in seemingly impossible terrain, but the effect is of a tilework of patches separated by narrow paths. We only saw people working in the fields in the early AM, but the word is that... More

The higher elevations of Kerala where the plantations are from are a relief from the heat. Everything is green, mountainous, and beautiful. You will just want to take endless pictures. It is well worth touring this area if you come to South India.

The greeneries are so pleasing to eyes. I felt I am close to nature than never before. Some occasions, it is completely covered in mist, it is a rare experience.

Deep blue mountains and lush green tea-gardens with milk-white wild cascades. You could either stop your car and walk along the winding path between the tea plantations or drive on the well maintained winding roads. Rain can fall with no warning and so does the descend of mist. Wayside stops are rare so ensure snacks and beverages for the road.... More

This was a photo stop for our group returning to our hotel from a day of sightseeing around Munnar. Plenty of traffic and crowds and our tour bus had to park a fair distance from the best vantage point. Perfect weather to view the rolling tea estates and surrounds. Quite a few shops are also in the vicinity offering food... More

We had a good tour guide who provided us ample facts on how tea is grown, harvested, oxidised and packed.
