The with dessert is a great tourist attraction with many thousands of people going every day. The desert is made from salt which shows the temperatures faced in Bhuj.

As the title suggests, hire a motorcycle or scooter from shop on the main road in Bhuj opposite the bus station (MX I think it's called) for 400 rupees (2k deposit) and drive to the desert. The people are super friendly here. It's an long straight easy drive which takes 1.5 hours max through the most amazing landscapes strewn with... More

Well if you are planning for the white desert, pl. take care of below points. You will not... More

The sunset is beautiful and even better is the moon rise makes the white desert almost shine in the dark. Best time will be from November to January since that when the sand is dry and you can actually walk on it. It is recommended for all the crazy travelers who would go miles to see a beautiful sight, although... More

White deserts from Chobari to Dholaveera. Kutch Mahotsav or the great Kutch festival is organized during December - January every year near the days when Shivratri is celebrated in Gujarat. I did not have much time, so if you are in the same predicament, I would still urge you to take the time to see it, even for only 20-30 minutes. It was VERY worthwhile to quickly stop and step out onto the white desert and experience the unique ecology and landscape; to savor the moment. The color of the... More

If you are able to visit this place on a full moon you will end up not leaving this place at all. Make sure you get a permit from Bhirandari check post which is about 45km from White Rann. Evenings are the best time to visit as you will get to see the sunset and the moon at the same... More

You will be fascinated by this for the rest of your life. Amazed by the purity of air, clear skies, colors of white salt beneath and blue sky above. Best pictographic options and ever fascinating spot. Best time to visit after lunch between 16:30 to 18:30 to witness sunset and capture changing colors of sky and land and if you... More
