If you are able to visit this place on a full moon you will end up not leaving this place at all. Make sure you get a permit from Bhirandari check post which is about 45km from White Rann. Evenings are the best time to visit as you will get to see the sunset and the moon at the same... More

You will be fascinated by this for the rest of your life. Amazed by the purity of air, clear skies, colors of white salt beneath and blue sky above. Best pictographic options and ever fascinating spot. Best time to visit after lunch between 16:30 to 18:30 to witness sunset and capture changing colors of sky and land and if you... More

It is necessary to get a travel pass from the local Border Guards, and they require each person's passport to check, as this area is cloe to the Pakistan border. The approach road passes through increasingly desertified land, and the White Rann is absolutely flat. becoming flooded with salt water during the monsoons. The water evaporates, leaving a coating of... More

One of the most wonderful creations of the nature. It brings out awe from anyone who see's it in it grandeur. One of it's kind on this side of the Atlantic; with the only other one being in Nevada, USA. It is in it's majestic best during full moon nights. It is a "MUST SEE" on your visit to Kutch... More

I ve never seen anything like this before. It was sunny, and sky and desert seemed beautiful. Vast stretches of mere salt and water. It's nature at its best. There were camel safari and locals selling regional stuff. I loved it Note - To enter the desert, one has to take a regal permission from closest place Bhiyandri or Bhuj,... More

Formed by sea water which gets brought in by high tides during the monsoon, this salty marshy flatland is a natural curiosity inique in the world. However, when you get there, the road ends in the middle of a white flatland with a couple of camels for kids to ride and a man selling souvenirs. Not really Worth the trip...

I'm from New York City so it's a thrill to visit a place where you can be truly alone. The White Desert is actually a little slushy in places. The water doesn't totally evaporate from the mud under the salt. Take the State Highway north of Bhuj. In the village of Bhirandariya stop at he Kutch Police checkpoint and get... More
