An amazing nature's wonder. Who could imagine that a desert does not have sand but salt. It shines like silver in day time and like gold at sunset time. Oh the amazing view of one side dark and the other brightly lit with soft golden light of full moon makes the exlerience unforgettable. I would like to visit this place... More

We visited the place on 21st November about 3 days before the full moon. Unfortunately, the white desert was filled with rain water of unusual heavy rains during this time of the year. There was very little white we could see. A good time we were told is December, January and February.

From the parking lot its almost 4 kilo meter return walk to reach end point in the humid & extremely hot weather. If you are in a group than... More

Thats what you say when you see the vast land all covered with white. Though the land is completely barren for miles together, but still it looks beautiful without any vegetation. One off experience.

It was like seeing snow in a pleasantly warm and windy environ! Of course the time we visited, Mid-Nov wasn't ideal as the sand was clay and your feet sinks and there is no water for miles to clean up. There is a washroom but it is closed and people can be found peeing all around it *gross*! And there... More

The White Desert is a one of its kind and is a must visit for all . Its such a beauty and one just stands in awe and admire this natures marvel. The entire stretch is just white and gives such a soothing effect. However because of the late rains this year the salt formation was not proper all around... More
