seems like the road to the beach has been dug up now, so you'll have to walk through some dilapidated dusty roads, pass through some backyards and then walk in the sun all the way. just not worth the effort

I had heard a lot of positives for Dona Paula and hence, decided to stroll over. While the waters are fine and the area boasts of being a spot for some of our Bollywood settings, the beach is dirty (borderline filthy at places). A bit of maintenance and makeover can do wonders.

Visit this place only in evening if you are in Panjim just because only attraction is sun-set view. Nothing else. In the tourist season there is lot of problem of parking the vehicle. You have to park vehicle in nearby street and walk a lot. Better to enjoy near Miramar beach.

We could take good photographs with remains of the state of Doan Paula. Nice place to relax. Good shopping experience on beach side. Beach is not for bathing.

Very nice open place. We really enjoyed roaming around there. The place is well maintained and very clean. There is good eating provisions as well near by but we did not try as we have been there in the early evening after a heavy lunch. The wind was very good to feel. We loved our walk down till the end... More

The place is very nice to be. But the shops that have come up on the approach path spoil the beauty of the place. Earlier the shops were slightly away, which was very good.

The place has got its own history, if you are interested after reading about it you might find it worth visiting, otherwise, its very boring and no beach as such. Can get crowded in peak tourist hours. The access is not easy and you have to park and walk for a long distance, waste of time !

This was the second time I have visited Donna Paula Beach... But I must say that even after 10yrs to the road that leads to the beach is still bad... We just couldnt take our bike and had to walk the distance... Agreed that the view was great but its time that the authorities work on the roads to help... More
