like: sea water is good unlike other beaches where water water dirty. the beach sand is formed into small islands due to the sea water where the water force and current is not very strongand even children can enjoy dislike: very far from central goa city

Ashwem, situated in north Goa is one of the best beaches in the state. Clean and scenic, its far from the maddening crowd of most Goa beaches.

We loved this beach. It had only one beach bar (had an excellent meal here) and one small clothes shop and was the exact opposite of touristy Baga Beach. No water sports. We were enchanted when cows strolled past! Come here if you want photos of empty beaches!

A wonderful place to spend a day away fro the crowds in a true little paradise. Gorgeous beach with few people around you. Some very good beach shacks for food.A bit more expensive than your Baga, Calangute of course.

This is north of the regular tourist circuit till Vagator. You will find mostly Russians on this beach and very very few Indians. Beautiful, large, clean beach and clean waters. Some shacks and loads of sunbeds around. It is peaceful and serene. Such a relief from the filth and circus of the Baga-Calangute stretch. Worth visiting.

One of the finest beaches in World. The waves are nice and it's a safe beach. Ideal for a morning run & sunset is not to be missed. Mostly Russians around. The shacks serves nice food and are courteous. Best months to visit November - January.

Earlier all the Goa action used to be at the Calungate beach, but with the encroachment and the increase in crowd the quality has shifted now to Ashwem beach. Though comparatively expensive, you can easily relax on the beach or get a place at one of the few restaurants. The crowd is excellent and you would not have much nuisance... More
