Small but interesting. The guide knew his stuff! He let each of us take turns having the capuchin (he called "white face") on our shoulders - I loved this. Gorgeous parrot spoke back to me in Spanish! Toucans were magnificent to look at as were the white tailed dear. The butterflies were majestic and the enclosure that kept them was... More

This was a nice place to visit while we where on a guided tour of Honduras. A young man brought us around the park showing and telling us about the different species of birds, monkeys, flowers and butterflies found on the island. I was quite pleased with this visit. We were even able to hold and pet some of the... More

The explanation of stages of a butterfly's development was interesting and the different species and plants in the screened enclosure lovely. The monkeys were fun to see and there were some toucans and parrots and local domesticated rodents that were brought out of their cages to pet and hold. The tortuous trip up a very steep, narrow road gives good... More

We really enjoyed our tour of the Roatan Butterfly park. It was very interesting to see so many different types of butterflies in one place. The grounds were very well taken care of and quite beautiful

This place is small but very interesting. The tour guide was very sweet and well informed. The parrots were so much fun to watch. We will be going back to Roatan in Dec at will be visting the garden again. Make sure you wear bug spray

You get a personal guide at this attraction, which means one more tip. Bring cash! Our guide looked like he was twelve, but he was full of information about the butterflies and other animals. Seeing the entire place took less than thirty minutes; don't make a special trip just to see this.
