Great place to walk on the docks and snorkel off of but not a beach that you lay on. It's actually a beach road!

I love ROATAN. I'd like to go back. These are the tree monkeys I saw and held. Men had them at the sand and I think I gave 10 dollars or so to take pictures. I'm not sure if it was at this beach or not and I can't find a monkey activity. This was not ran by a company... More

We stayed in Sandy Bay in a house and this was our favorite place to hang out. The sand isn't as white as West Bay, but it's far less crowded and just a great place to walk or snorkel. So glad we stayed on this side of the island!

Great place to spend the day. Snorkel, explore, eat, drink, and relax. Not crowded! Check out Tranquil Seas and Blue Bahia!

Lovely and quiet with excellent snorkeling! Close enough to easily visit West End by car, taxi or collective for dining or shopping, but far enough away to enjoy a peaceful stretch of beach and easily accessible reef for snorkeling with little boat traffic.

The views are great. the water is not very deep so it is easy for anyone to enjoy a dip in the warm Caribbean sea. On the beach, put on that bug spray or the sand flys, no-see-ums, or what ever will be nibbling at you. The warm irritation of the bites will make you itch horribly. Sometimes the bugs... More

I'm writing on Sandy Bay Beach, NOT a facility. Sandy Bay is behind the reef, therefore, no white sand or big waves. The water is very shallow, about 3 feet, & the water is brown. The beach is also used for a roadway. Commercial deliveries to the resorts & restaurants along the Sandy Beach area are made from the beach... More
