This is a must see look into history. The Cape Coast Castle shows the juxtaposition of the soon to be slave and the captors (both white and black). The church over the male slave quarters and walking out the point of no return brings home gut wrenching emotions that are evoked by this period in history. more

My trip to Cape Coast was my first trip to Africa and one that I will never forget. My church choir sang at the West African Coral Festival in November of 2005 which concluded at the Cape Coast Castle. One of the songs that we sang was entitled "Good bye Motherland". We had sang this particular song many times before... more
