Sent Naum is a monastery located in Macedonia close to the town of Ohrid. The monastery is from 11 century and its worth to visit. The Ohrid Lake is also very close (few meters) with amazing view. After long walking the best is to sit down for a snack at the restorant OSTROVO (The Island) with amazing surrounding. Only payment... More

We took a beautiful one-hour boat ride to this monastery. We thought 2 hours would be too long to stay but we actually wished we had more time. Make sure to eat at one of the charming restaurants located over the springs.

The Monastery now is reconstructed as the whole area but the truth is that i liked it much more before...it was more natural. the last time i was is in beginning of may and was really really to many cars and so many people that you cannot really enjoy the calm that a monastery should offer. it has become more... The monastery has been situated at the eastern coast of the Ohrid lake close to the Albanian border. It is nice and beautiful but in front of it there is a park with a lot of shops which is not the perfect situation for a monastery.

This place is only a short drive from Ohrid and is a must-see! Enjoy your afternoon at the lake shore, taking the sun or swimming , then walk up to the amazing church where peacocks are lovely guests. Then take a boat ride to natural springs and this will be a day to remember...

A very amazing place to visit! A must visit if you travel near by, very spiritual! Untouched surrounding nature makes you fall in love with this place.

Our trip to St. Naum Monastery was enjoyed by all in our group of friends. We had a big lunch at the Monastery grounds. The table was on the floating raft which made some of us a little dizzy. There was the option of having taken a table on solid ground. The fillet mignon was very salty as if it... More

St. Naum Monastery is beautiful by itself, but what is amazing is the positioning on the borders of lake Ohrid and the small lakes that communicate with lake Prespa. The experienced guide Nikola is waiting outside the restaurant by the wooden bridge to take you on a 30 min ride with his boat and will explain to you all about... More

Going to the monastery of Saint Naum is definitely worth a visit. It is located only 30 km from Ohrid and the drive there is beautiful. I went by taxi as it is off season in April and the busses don't depart as often. The taxidriver was very friendly and like a personal tour guide telling me stories about everything... More
