Amazing water springs

The church is really beautifull, but what I liked the most are the St.Naum water springs. As I were told there are 15 springs which totally give 11000 liters of water per seccond,

Beautifully maintained, everyone is trying to make a living so do not be critical of the tourist shops. It is how they do it in Macedonia.

It may be larger and more popular and busy than other Orthodox monasteries in the area but you won't forget your visit to Saint Naum. From the stunning location/architecture and religious significance to the beautiful peacocks lazily but nonchalantly patrolling the grounds the memories of Naum will stay with you. Don't forget to visit the springs and take one of... More

The best part oh this monastery is the spring area with clear water. The monastery and view from there is nice, but the park arpund is very beautiful. Worth the 2x110dnr bus trip from Ohrid!

Though it is outside of Ohrid, if you are, at least, two days in the city, take half the day to visit the church. Magnificent frescos inside! Beautiful surrounding...peacocks... the lake. A perfect place for an afternoon enjoyment!

Stunning scenery, steeped in history and the Peacocks were a lovely bonus. Expect to spend at least half a day walking round and taking in everything it has to offer

monastery has nice restaurant and beautiful church. You can take a boat ride on the water to the springs. Great underwater view of the springs. Nice walk around the springs. Starts just next to the small church and finishes close to the parking place. Approx 1 km.

In St Naum, between the 2 large lakes of Macedonie, lake Ohrid and lake Trespa, you find this beautiful place with waters clear as crystal. A trip with a small rowing boat lets you experience the beauty of nature. Water wells can be seen to come out of the ground 2 -3 meters under water. In June, when we were... More

Lovely place with a well maintained lush garden. Plenty of peacocks to see! The nearby Black Drim boat ride is a must -do. Ask for Nikola who can tell you a lot about the place while he takes you on the #20 mins boat ride through the crstal clear spring.

Even if you feel already fed up with monastery - this one you cant miss. Especially that it is much more than it. You can take a bout around fresh springs or have a meal in one of the lovely restaurants around hidden in greenery. Reserve some more time for that - it is worth it.
