I was really impressed with this place. The beauty of the nature (especially the springs), the art of the monastery, peace of this place, no matter that it was quite crowded. It was somehow surprising after driving from Ohrid (about 30 km). Really well organized, and worth to pay a visit.

You can hear the heartbeat of the holy man once you put your ear on his stone. Old catacombes, beautiful gardens with peacocks, well water and wishing well.

I was there a long time ago.. but when i went few days ago, i was blown away! There's such a big difference in a possitive kind of way. First you need to check out the monastery, the old church from the 10th century and the tomb of St. Naum itself. Than you can take a boat trip to the... More

The monastery is famous for its interior, its beautiful setting overlooking lake Ohrid, its many peacocks, and its history. I strongly recommend spending most of the day there, and, after seeing the monastery eating at the beautifully situated Ostrov restaurant on an island in the middle of the spring-fed pond next to the monastery. A trip around the pond, with... More

At first you should do a little boattrip to take in the surroundings. 15 Minutes cost 5 € for 2 people. The boat can take up to 10. Visit the monastery and at last relax on the sunbeds.

Οne of the most beautiful and peaceful places i 've ever been! The old monastery is 20 minutes outside ohrid city (by car) and its one of the most popular places in the country. Τhe whole area around it has developed to give any visitor what he needs- it literally has everthing: you can eat, you can drink, you can... More

Ohrid is nature. With the lake and the mountains, one can find places at peace everywhere, and this church is one of them. To me, the connection of spiritual and natural is something this place allows to explore in oneself.

A nice monastery for sure, but a jammed road to get there, and a long funnel of touristic commercial kiosks you have to pass, as well as a crowded beach. Not a real monastic atmosphere.
