My husband and I went on our honeymoon in Moorea back in September. We looked at several pearl shops on the island. When we met Eva, we looked no further. Not only did she have the most beautiful pearls we had seen, the experience we had was second to none. She sat down with us and told us everything we... more

my husband bought me a GORGEOUS pearl ring from eva pearls this summer. he said he loved everything in the store, and that it was really difficult to choose...she never pressured him (as is the norm when shopping for pearls), and she gave him time & space to buy what he wanted, in his own time. we have been to... more

we stayed on moorea may 2009. when we found eva's perles we were thrilled. the owner herself runs the place, she's very honest, straight forward, and personable. we found a ring i wanted but it was too big. eva had the ring completely re-casted to fit me, and had the ring ready within 4 days. she also had us sign... more

We stayed in Moorea 2nd Jan 2009 on the return leg of the journey from New Zealand as my partner had always wanted to spend time on a south pacific island. It was her big birthday and as I had not bought her a card i thought i would let her do some window browsing. We visited several of the... more

We went to Moorea for the first time in March. I decided that it would be nice to bring back a set of earrings.. We stopped in several shops, looking at the black pearls. An American ran one of the shops and we decided to go in and take a look around. Nothing was priced and he was very impatient... more

Eva is great. Shopping for pearls at Eva’s store is comfortable. We stumbled upon this store when walking around Maharepa. She does a lot of advertising but no one seemed to recommend her which was part of our initial hesitation from going to her store. However, this is due to the fact that she does not give commission. She spent... more

I visited pearl shops throughout Papeete and Moorea. On our last day in Moorea, I visited Eva Perles. The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable. I felt very comfortable and safe with her. I knew if I bought a pearl from her, I'd be getting the real deal. Not to mention, she had an excellent selection of pearls in all... more

I couldn't agree more. My spouse took me to a 3-week French Polynesia trip for my birthday in 2005. In addition to the trip, he bought me some Tahitian pearls. We went to several shops, but just didn't feel comfortable making a purchase. We went to Eva Perles, and ended up leaving with a pair of earrings, 2 neckalces, but... more

We visited Eva Pearls in Moorea this past Dec (2007). It was a very pleasant contrast to Tahia Collins and other pushy shops we had visited. Eva, the owner, welcomed us and promptly gave us a lesson on pearls (shape, color, luster, size, etc.) – and what determines the value. She described how to care for the pearls (her lesson... more

Eva Perles is run by a wonderfully charming lady named Eva who sells black pearls. If you are looking to buy pearls, pass up the big chains and go to her. She offers pearls in all price ranges and they are gorgeous, whether you are looking to spend $60 or $6,000. She's also incredibly friendly and obviously passionate about her... more
