There are magnificent rock formations that form from wind erosions. The colors change at times from the sun, a beautiful sight to see. « less

This is a MUST for anybody that visits Egypt. In fact just fly into Cairo and organize a 4 x 4 trip for 3 - 4 days and you can see this magnificient place. Star gaze, be mindful, go with dear friends or organize a teambuilding corporate event. I cannot say how much i will remember this 2 day adventure.... More

I have just returned from an amazing 10 day trip to Egypt. We ventured into the White Desert and it was so unexpectedly stunning. Absolutely took my breath away and beautifully organized by our Cairo ground agent with local Bedouin guides. I cannot recommend this highly enough....in fact i would fly to Cairo for a long weekend and spend 3... More

My husband and I went to Egypt and its White Desert this January and we had a wonderful experience.. In spite of all the travel alerts we heard of the place, we decided to go there anyway… and guess what? Egypt as a whole proved to be a safe country, I know news on TV are not this encouraging but... We took a tour with Select Egypt to Bahariya Oasis. 4 days -3 nights, travelling to Bawati then to Farafa to see the Black and White Deserts. If you are thinking of going, do it- you will be so glad you did. These deserts are spectacular. It takes half a day to travel to Bahariya from Cairo, Bawati is one... More

This was one of those things in life that you lucky to see, to be there in a full moon night and to be able to see that there is some thing called moon rise. I haven't seen it before in my life. So many ways to do it but the easiest one is from Cairo as its only 03:30... More

The White Desert is one of the most amazing things we saw in Egypt, and an absolute must see for anyone with an interest in landscape / wilderness etc. A large area of desert is dotted with white formations that look like some crazy giant cook has dropped meringues all over the place and then gone nuts breaking them up... Took a trip out with some young bucks who we camped with out in the middle of the White Desert, driving a 4x4 at high rates of speed and drifting around was awesome. Like nothing I'd ever seen. More

My wife set-off from Cairo and were driven by a private car to the Bahariya Oasis. It was a 4-5 hour drive. We were then transferred via jeep to the White Desert which took another 2 hours. We saw the Black Desert en-route and also Crystal mountain (not very impressive). The trip was tiring and we were wondering if the... More

We went by 4x4 from Siwa to Luxor and spent one night camping in the White Desert. It is a spectacularly magical place that I rank with the Himalayas and Grand Canyon for stunning beauty. DO arrange an over night camp because the desert at sunset, under moon light and at sunrise defies belief for beauty, changing colors and evocative... More
