the Iguana park is a free amenity of the city. You can go in during open hours, sit by the fountain and see the iguanas! They are roaming around and happy little critters. Enjoy the neat experience with the kids or a loved one. Really....they are just roaming around the part, no cages.

just stay away from walking under the special tree where most of the lizards lounge....you might notice the unsuspecting tourist getting a urine shower, or worse!

Yeah this park is full of Iguanas. I guess some people have never seen them.... Due that there is people around and the Iguanas sleep on the floor or anyplace they can, be careful not to step on them. There is no fee to get intothe park. Also there is beautiful church in front of it.

unafraid of people, they wander everywhere and even sit on the laps of those who offer them food (not recommended for tourists, however). pretty cool to see them from afar, however!

Many active and playful iguanas. We had several who were racing around, pausing and bobbing their heads, then racing off again. They also tend to climb high up into the trees. Statue of Bolivar, the pigeon roost, and a gazebo, with many park benches, gives you a chance to just sit and watch the kids and many people out for... More

I was expecting a lot more after the reviews that I had read on trip advisor before I went. It is a small park with some iguanas and a lot of people. Nothing amazing.

Be sure to look up on the trees, as Iguanas love to climb them. After a local told us this was his favorite place in Guayaquil and not to miss it, we experienced this fun place, free and full of benches so you can linger. you'll want to photograph those fascinating creatures.

Nice park, great for photos of Land Green Iguanas and squirrels, but it is sad to see the Iguanas being fed on an incorrect diet of lettuce, and being molested by stupid locals who think it is funny to pull their tails. Hopefully the Iguanas will one day rise up and take over Guayaquil. The new lizard masters would be... More

This park is right in front of the Cathedral and the draw for people to stop are the iguanas. Children are feeding them apples, just watch your step as they are everywhere. The city does have some nice parks and although it's not really tourist friendly, it is worth checking out if you find yourself on the way to the... More
