There is a security guard at every 6 feet or so. They always smile, they are delighted to take a picture of you. You are safe here.... And the air conditioned mall has a lot to choose from. Go ahead and shop the day away... Your friends and family will be grateful for the gifts and the photos you take.

Very strange place but very cool. In the middle of Guayaquil in about a square block you find hundreds of Iguanas all over the place. They seem to be quite comfortable around humans. Any other place I have seen Iguanas they seem to shy away from people. Lots of fun and you can get great pictures. Well worth seeing. The... More

I think we all liked it because it was so weird. Iguanas everywhere! At first it took me a bit to see an iguana and then I realized they were everywhere as we crossed into the second half. We looked up in a tree and every branch was covered. My only tip is to also look down as there's quite... More

This is a small park, loaded with iguanas, right across from the cathedral. Despite signs that say not to touch or feed, it seems you can do so, as long as it's "good touch" and you give them healthy food (lettuce). There is also a small koi pool with what I think were 5 or 6 snapping turtles. A fun... More

It's very strange to have these creatures running round your feet but amazing to be able to get such a close look at them. They are quite different from the ones we saw in the Galapagos. They are fed by humans (by the City apparently), although there are signs saying don't feed them. They are quite bold and will climb... More

There are dozens and dozens of iguanas walking around this small park and lolling on the benches and on the grass. They come right up to you if you are quiet and sit still. This is not a zoo - the Iguanas are free to go anywhere in the park or to leave it. All the reptiles we saw appeared... More

This is a nice little park to see the Iguanas in. It does get busy but it is good fun to spend an hour here and at the cathedral opposite. Great photo opportunities with the Iguanas

In the heart of the city this a good park to take a chance and interact with this animal and enjoy them.

I have never been anywhere let alone a city centre park with so many Iguanas in it. Despite the signs everyone was touching and feeding them but it doesn't seem to have done them any harm. A great place for an hour or so.
