I've never seen anything like it. It's a typical Latin America plaza bordered on one edge by a large church, but the entire plaza is filled with iguanas, and families with their children feeding them.

The iguanas really liked the bananas that we brought from our hotel breakfast. There were so many iguanas and they were everywhere. We thought that after visiting the Galapagos that we would be tired of iguanas - but we enjoyed seeing them in an urban setting.

Get close and personal with hundreds of Iguanas. You won't find this experience in any museum. The iguanas are free to wander around the square, so be careful not to get a bite!

Lots of iguanas running around. Nice to see.... If you are going to Galapagos save your time for that! If you have time to kill you can go and see it

The park is located right front of the hotel we stayed at. It's very relaxing. You will be amazed to see the number of iguanas. They are everywhere. There is also a turtle pond and a fish pond right in the park. Very nice. Gets busy but never too crowded.

Very strange place but very cool. In the middle of Guayaquil in about a square block you find hundreds of Iguanas all over the place. They seem to be quite comfortable around humans. Any other place I have seen Iguanas they seem to shy away from people. Lots of fun and you can get great pictures. Well worth seeing. The... More

I think we all liked it because it was so weird. Iguanas everywhere! At first it took me a bit to see an iguana and then I realized they were everywhere as we crossed into the second half. We looked up in a tree and every branch was covered. My only tip is to also look down as there's quite... More

This is a small park, loaded with iguanas, right across from the cathedral. Despite signs that say not to touch or feed, it seems you can do so, as long as it's "good touch" and you give them healthy food (lettuce). There is also a small koi pool with what I think were 5 or 6 snapping turtles. A fun... More

It's very strange to have these creatures running round your feet but amazing to be able to get such a close look at them. They are quite different from the ones we saw in the Galapagos. They are fed by humans (by the City apparently), although there are signs saying don't feed them. They are quite bold and will climb... More
