A gathering place for locals, pigeons and iguanas. Lots of benches to sit and watch the people and iguanas. However I stood under a tree while reading a map and was "rained on" by an iguana high above me. I am sure the iguana had a good laugh but I did not.lol

I absolutely love lizards, and these iguanas are GREAT. If you have lettuce, they'll climb on you. They let you pet them and if you're lucky, carry them around. The park itself is gorgeous, well-shaded, with plenty of benches and gazebos for resting and people/iguana watching. It's in the middle of downtown surrounded by restaurants, food carts, and beautiful historical... More

This is one of the most unusual attractions we've ever visited & it really was quite surprising! This place is literally a park surrounded with benches and in the middle has trees & bushes, and is filled with pigeons & iguanas. The iguanas are given lettuce daily, but you have to be careful what you eat when you're there. Me... More

Really small park with a bunch of iguanas, pigeons and people, most of which will happily pee and/or poop on you. That's it... Not worth a visit in my opinion.

Our hotel was a church away from the park, and it was defiantly a highlight of Guayaquil for me. The iguana's , turtles and fish and even a squirrel interacting with the public was magical. Little kids feeding the iguana and just people /critter watching was really special.

Get up close with hundreds of green iguanas. Right in the middle of the city and across the road from the big cathedral. Be careful as iguanas can poo and pee on you from the trees at any time.

It's not what I expected to find when wandering about this HUGE city, and they are an amazing sight to see. You can get close enough to touch them(not that i recommend it), the size of many of them makes you wonder how the trees are littered with them hanging in the branches! .....maybe they are dragon! cos dragons have... If you find iguanas and pigeons entertaining you will like this little park. It is just a park but is quite pretty and there are lots of iguanas, big and small and they are impressive. On the other hand they do not do a lot and can get abused by some of the public. They are wild animals but seem... More

Also known as Parque Seminario, Parque Bolívar, and other names, this was the original central park of colonial Guayaquil. Now, like all green spaces in this part of the coast, the park hosts a thriving colony of these shy animals. I happened to be there during their daily feeding, around 10am. This is a great time to see these animals... More
