Imagine the nerve to require some kind of payment to enter a church!! While I can understand requesting some type of donation, this was a slap in the face to Catholics and even non-Catholics everywhere.

Fascinating construction and work of art. Definitely climb the bell tower if you don't mind heights. Even in August it wasn't too crowded, perhaps because they charge admission. I heard a few people complain about it so they never went inside. If you are interested in history and architecture, you won't mind paying 25kn (about 3euros), to get in and... More

The cathedral is beautiful and very cheap to get into. They take both kuna and euros, the price is 3.50 euros but I paid 3 euros because I'm a univeristy student. The ticket grants you entrance to the inside of the cathedral, a small museum/treasury and of course the climb up to the bell tower. The view from the bell... More

The Cathedral is awaresom and it is definitely worth a visit. Apparently the mornign hours would be the best, when it is not so crowded around and you can enjoy the architecture and view on your own. We haven't climbed the bell tower unfortunately as we came too late, but i am sure it is worth climbing it up.

Besides that it is beautiful architecturally and historic cathedral, you can climb to the top of the Bell Tower, the views are amazing from there and you can ring the bell. Its fun to do for people who are not afraid of heights and have no problem with their legs or knees. We loved it as well as our kids.

Built on the foundations of a church destroyed in the 12th century, the cathedral is an interesting building, combining Gothic and Romanesque styles. If you are in Trogir you should definitely go inside.

The cathedral is nice with special attention for the portal portraying Adam and Eve. The climb is not difficult until the last part, when the steps get pretty narrow and some people may have difficulty to go through the opening to access the last stage of the tower (not recommended for people with vertigo or with small children). You will... More

The cathedral itself is beautiful from both the inside and the outside, of course. Something you probably wouldn't expect in such a small historic town. Not as elaborate design as the one in Aachen or Milan, but definitely a Mediterranean beauty. The view from the bell-tower is breathtaking. (I haven't been on the walls of the fortress, but my friend... More

The architecture in this cathedral is simply beautiful. There is also an amazing collection of relics in the treasury. The climb to the top of the bell tower left me breathless in the heat and humidity, but the views from the top were breathtaking!!

This may be the finest cathedral visit in all of Dalmatia. It seems to have survived the wars with minimal damage and is architecturally and artistically superb.
