The Cathedral is located on the main lane of the walled old town beside the main square. Since this cathedral charges for entry, I just examined the marvellous stone carvings on the entry door. The carvings are done in multiple layers around the door as well above the doorway. The figures, all busy doing some agricultural work, are not the... More

This medieval Cathedral is a must see site in the UNESCO town of Trogir. The Romanesque stone door frame is very unusual and dates back to the 13th century AD. It has two lions (a symbol of Venice) and a statue of Adam & Eva. The interior is quite interesting too. Going up to the Bell Tower is another worthy... More

Beautiful and well preserved with fascinating interior and items. If you're not afraid of heights you need to take it to the top. Marvelous view of Trogir and the old town. The stairs to the top are "spacious", very narrow and nothing for the claustrophobic.

This beautiful, old church is well worth a visit. The nominal fee is worth it for several reasons -- first the church itself is beautiful and very, very old. But even better is the view from the tower, which is arguably the best in the small city. I chickened out in the final climb because the steps were metal and... More

The church has been restored very nicely. Like all attractions, it require an entrance fee but it includes the cost to go up to the Bell Tower. Those under 14 are not allowed to go and its for good reason. The steps are steep and hollow, it is way harder to climb than the one in Split. The top few... More

This is a beautiful church on one of the central squares. The doors and surrounds are ornately carved and the inside very plain, attractively so which is nice after the overly ornate style of many of the continental churches. We didn't go up the tower!

Best thing about this attractive cathedral is right at the entrance (and you can see most of it through the gates without paying - cheapskate!): the carvings around the arch over the main door are amazing. Look at them closely and you'll see some great stuff. 3D baroque stonework. And look out for the guy hanging upside down in the... More

It was Sunday and Mass was in progress so unlike most tourists. We respected the sign and did not barge in. The building looks worn but that happens with age and the closeness and dedication of the congregation gave an atmosphere of respect in spite of the thoughtless behaviour of the tourists. To explore the inside, do not go during... More

If you like churches ... This is worth it a visit. You can even go to the top of the campanile , great view of the city. If you are afraid of heights , refrain from going to the very top as part of the stairs are made of metal and you can see below you as you go up.... More
