Stepping back in time….

Stunning! That's the word to describe the old town of Rovinj! Superb, cobbled and worn-flagged streets leading up to st euphemia's cathedral. Go!!

Most people visit Croatia for the Adriatic coast and notably,Dubrovnik. On our trip,we thought the same as well. However, the real highlight was charming Istria and in particular,Rovinj was an absolute gem.Unlike Dubrovnik,Rovinj is just the right parts touristy and Croatia at her most real.A trip to the Istria region is definitely worth it and you won't even have to battle daytrippers from... Just head of down any alley and you will find lovely views/scenes - old architecture and pots of flowers etc. Just be careful about footwear - the cobbles are slippery so if it is raining wear something with grip - I nearly went a couple of times and I had trainers on. Make your way up to the church for... More

It was my first time coming to Istria and Rovinj and I fell in love. For the hotel I suggest Angelo D'Oro!

A beautiful and lovely old town, it was hard not to fall in love with it. For us it had reminders of our visit to Venice, it was lovely just to wander around the cobbled streets and admire the lovely old buildings, so much character. We are definitely planning our next visit!

To get lost in the small streets of Rovinj is a relaxing and pleasant experience, maybe to be completed with a good icecream, while visiting all the churches and seaside.

We come here at least once a year. It is such a nice place. You can have morning coffe and evening dinner at the old part and walk, cycle, swim in the pristine nature just few hundred meters away.

Something you have to experience. Visit this old city out of summer season and you'll experience peaceful mediterranean way of life. Take your time, don't hurry, relax and take a big breath.
