Roving is small, charming and very walkable. Stone houses on narrow twisting lanes. Harbor filled with fishing boats not yachts. Very Italian-feeling. Spectacular views in every direction! I just visited on a day trip from Opatija and wished I could have stayed in Roving for a few days!

This is such a beautiful place, and we spent many happy hours wandering round the narrow streets, browsing local shops, people watching in the many bars & restaurants in the area (especially on the front). You need to look past the touristy bits to see the lovely old town preserved behind them. I think Rovinj is a simply beautiful city... More

Rovinj was love at first glance! l guess it's the most charming and romantic city l've ever visited and l'm meaning not only the peninsula where the Old Town stands on, but the harbour area, the wonderful Monte Mulino and its continuation, the Parco Forestale Punta Corrente. That huge park offers fantastic walking overlooking the sea it you take the... More

climb the winding streets to the church overlooking the town. Great views near and far. Take your time and poke around. It's free and worth a few hours.

Once you get past all of the souvenir shops and into the old town it's fun to just walk the tiny streets and explore. There are some great views of the area as you walk up the hill and to the cathedral. Since we were there in the off season it wasn't crowded at all, except for the occasional tour,... More

This was one of my favorite places I visited in Croatia and Italy. It's wonderful. Think mini Venice that sits directly on the sea, surrounded by stunning clear blue water (unlike Venice's murky brown water). Winding cobblestone streets, tons of historical architecture, fantastic restaurants and lots of little cafes along the water to have a glass of wine and watch... More

We were there on a tour and all just loved this little town. It has this great little seaport section where you can get a good meal at reasonable prices. Their is also a wonderful market. The lady from whom we bought our olive oil was so happy that I brought other tour members there that she gave me a... More
