Rovinj is worth more time than the 3 hours we spent there. We first had lunch and then went for a stroll from the port to the old town and the church on the hill. The view from the church is fabulous, and when it's hot, it's nice to get that seaside breeze. Tip: wander through the narrow alleys down... More

Everything - shops, restaurants, views, history, would return in a heartbeat. Lots of lovely boat excursions available. There was an evening event while we were there launching a flat bottom batana boat followed by traditional and pop entertainment on a stage in front of the sea. Good point from which to take a day trip to Venice - Adriatic Jet... More

We visited Rovinj while staying in Marici near to Kanfanar. It's a nice place to wander around day or night. The walk up to St Eufemia along the narrow and steep paths is very interesting, past small shops, stalls, restaurants and bars all tucked away and great views when you get to the top. I agree with a few previous... More

Exploring the old town is great in the evening when the temperature cools a bit. You can discover fabulous restaurants hidden away. Very Italian architecture.

It was a beautiful, quaint town, plenty of places to eat, the only thing the beaches were not sand they were stones and rocks, so a decent pair of beach shoes are a must, but that one little thing has not put us off.

Everything you want in a Mediterranean hill town ... narrow cobbled street / a dominating cathedral at the top / sea views all round / many buzzy cafes and restaurants top choose from / arty little shops and art galleries / and not too pricey either

Vodnjan is not as touristic as Rovinj or Pula, but for its history and reach cultural heritage worth to visit..especially if you have a local guide with little town "secrets". Vodnjan is a leading city in Croatia and also World known for its extra virgin olive oil -so visit some local producer, they will be more than happy to show... More

We went there to spend some hours enjoying this beautiful old town. The town is clean and you can see a lot of history attractions there.

When you visit Rovinj, you will find yourself visiting Old Town whether you want to or not because it is a large part of the downtown area. My recommendation is that you wear sensible walking shoes and leave the heels at home. The streets are cobbled with uneven sizes of rocks with gaps between them and they are slippery when... More
