You have all the facilities to keep you occupied while waiting (washrooms, cafes, shops, restaurants) and its a great pleasure to come back. Guys are friendly and helping you to embark and vice versa. Not annoying at all when inviting for the tours. You can simply sit on the cliffs enjoying the views and sunset is just not to be... More

Rovinj was founded as a fishermen's village and a port. The connection remains to this day. At the port of Rovinj you can still see many traditional small fishermen's boats called "Batana". If you are looking for an excursion in the Rovinj archipelago or the Lim fjord, this is the right place to pick your ship. For private boats and... More

There was lots of great seafood restaurants on the waterfront with very friendly people working there. And If you are there before tourist season starts, you can get a quite cheap deal to go out with one of the boats along the port. We went in may, and for a really cheap deal, we got to go out alone with... More

We went on a day trip by bus to this little town from Opatija, where we were staying. We had read a great review about it in our guide book and we were not disappointed. The bus station is really close to the town. The town can be seen on foot and the campanile is beautiful. The weather was lovely... More

I returned for a holiday to Rovinj after last being there 31years previously!! What a pleasant surprise I got that it hadn't really changed hardly at all. A bit more expensive and a tad busier but as beautiful as I remebered . More

Rovigno, still recognizably medieval and Venetian, is the most fascinating fishing and yachting town of the Istrian coast and easy day or overnight trip from Venice or Trieste. While visiting the old town I suggest having a tasty coffee called "Veneziano" in the bar La Vecia Batana, follwed by a visit to the fabulous St. Andrew's Island, which is only... More
