A one of a kind place with lovely views. Lot of picturesque spots around the trail. Trails are of multiple duration, take longer ones only if you are into long walks. If you just want to have a quick trip and capture key views (including ones often used in marketing brochure), follow the trail in opposite direction of what is... More

+ The Plitvice Lakes are amazingly beautiful! A visit is great value for money! (We payed about 14 euro per person = student prices in August) - The domain is huge, but the wooden paths over and along the lakes are small and crowded during high season (for instance in August). + There are also paths through the woods (much... We travelled in October which was the perfect time to visit avoiding mass crowds which apparently challenge & somewhat spoil the summer months. Not all trails were open due to some flooding & the National Park layout takes some sussing out & some walking over 2 days if you want to catch all of it's beauty & various levels -... More

This place is a must if you enjoy jaw dropping scenery. I won't lie its a hike so if you don't like walking or your mobility is poor its not going to be easy to access the full wonder of this slice of paradise. The little ferry boats were in need of better crowd management but it was super busy... More

This place is marvlous, I love it. Even if it was fall totally rainy and I could not visit all the places, I loved what I visited. This place is inspiring, beautiful, try to go in summer. You can arrive by car or by bus from Zagreb, Split or Zadar. One of my best memories in Croatia. It takes a... More

We went there in February (on our way between Zagreb and Split) and there was still lots of snow about - the upper lakes were closed as was the train and ferry (which we understand) and so we were restricted to the lower part of the park. After stopping and asking for directions 4 times we finally found the "right"... More

this scenery literally reminds you of the lord of the rings movies (rivendell and lorien for instance)! magnificent scenery and landscape! Do not forget to visit the "Veliki Slap", the most famous waterfall of the park. Fun fact: the winnetou movies were filmed here Tipps: do not hesitate to visit in winter as well! extremely charming with frozen waterfalls and... More

It is difficult to put into words the natural beauty this park provides. From the well groomed paths, the great food available in the park to the obvious wonderful falls within the park. It is truly one of the places that you must visit and add to your bucket list. The sheer beauty is something that you will remember for... More
