Plitvice Lakes is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. It looks like a fairy tale. My recommendation is to get to the park early in the morning before the giant tour buses and tour groups arrive and start crowding the boardwalks. You don't need a tour guide here... the paths are very well marked and you can... More

So many water falls, I couldn't count them. They have all different shapes and forms. The lakes have a beautiful torquoise colour, but there is no visible life in them. There is sulphur in the water, it has a bit of a rotten egg smell. I love this place, I would go again to see these Plitvice Lakes and Falls,... More

This is a natural wonder we must visit at least once in a lifetime. I've been here more than 20 times so far but I've never repeated the same place for it is always new to me. I recommend you to stay at least 2 nights here. You'll be completely refreshed and restored spiritually as well as physically!

I have hiked a lot of places in the world and never seen anything like this. It's worth 4 hours to hike the circuit. My one recommendation is that you get going on the hike by 8am. Otherwise you will be overrun by huge bus loads of tourists that are mostly interested in taking pictures of themselves with selfie sticks.... More

The water is so blue, the waterfalls so picturesque, and the nature so pure, it's hard to believe you're not on a remote island. There's also some light caving to explore in if you're looking for some exercise. But that's not to say that the trail itself won't make you break a sweat.

This place is truly magnificent and is definitely a must visit place in the world! We were in awe the whole time and will never forget our experience here. The waterfalls and lakes are so stunning and such a beautiful shade of blue. The walk that we went on lasted around four hours with us getting the tram to the... More

We took the 3 hour drive from Zagreb, not realising that the road in is a tourist trap for radar-wielding police. SLOW DOWN TO BELOW THE SPEED LIMIT! The lakes themselves were very pretty and, as they had received recent flooding rain, the falls were flowing madly. In fact, a lot of the lower tracks were washed out. All the... More
