Veliki Slap (large waterfall) is part of Sastvci. Technically Veliki Slap is the large waterfall and Sastavci is the basin into which it falls. To get to the large waterfall you will walk over and around this basin. While it is beautiful it looks like many other waterfalls. The uniques of the park is found in the small cascading waterfalls... More

Like all the other parts of Plitvice National Park, this place is absolutely spectacular and should not be missed. The waterfalls, the lakes - it's all stunning and it will take your breath away.

You're going to walk a bit through the park to be able to get through this one, but it's really good and worth the walk. You have waterfalls everywhere, flooding the rocks and vegetation. Gives you the impression of abundance and overflow.

imagine walking on a wooden ribbon across waterfalls, rivers and never ending brooks. the water is azure blue and fish are lazily swimming as you walk by and over them. this is a one in a kind place, outstanding . . . . a Croatia must see

Having just come back from the Lakes I still can't believe we were there. It was so beautiful and breathtaking. I would love to go back again in autumn to experience the park again.

really stunning place. Even if you visit the lakes more times, the colour of the water, a lot of green allaround you and amazing creation by the nature will leave you breathless. This is really hart to be compared with anything simmilar in the World. It is worth any minute that you spend there, because any moment, on any corner... More

Although heavily toured, obviously, this set of turquise lakes and hundreds of small water falls is a MUST SEE, by any standard. In good weather, the color reminds you of Lake Louise in the Canadian Rockies, but there the similarity stops. You walk on narrow trails along the various lakes, partly over the water and greenery, and partly along it.... More

We stayed at the hotel in the National Forest which was simple, clean and very appropriate for the setting. Rooms were clean and food was good. The hike through the lakes and mountains was an experience not to miss if possible. It was a good break from the cities of Dubrovnik and Split.
