For those who are fans of Croatia like I am, a visit to Birjuni National Park is a must! Why? Because it is a UNESCO heritage site consisting of 14 small archipelago islands, the largest one having once been the home residence of Yugoslavia's ex-president, Tito. Anyone fascinated with Tito and his era need to come here. His cadillac is... More

I accompanied some friends along this trip and we had booked a "train" tour of the island and it was fantastic! The weather was hot and walking around the green parks, small zoo area and fresh clean coast was a nice relief. There are many restaurants and hotels (and a golf course) on the island but it can easily be... More

We had a very fun day on the island yesterday. We got a 9am local bus to Fazana from Pula (the 21, 15kn each way) having booked the 10am boat the previous day through a tourist office. They tried to sell us an expensive transfer first but will sell you just the ticket at the usual price of 210kn if... More

We have visited Brijuni Islands numerous times, and after a long pause, the last time we were there was two weeks ago. You can book the excursion with the mainland office in Fazana - I suggest e-mail because I couldn't get them on the phone. This time we booked the 13:30 tour which lasts about 4 hours, and it consists... More

After seeing information in the Tourist Office we decided to stay another day to see the National Park. Glad we did! In the morning We took the ferry to the Island . Nice 20 minute ride. Included in the price of the ticket there is a sightseeing tour. This includes a train ride that takes you through Pine ally ,... More

worth the trip ! you can join the island in 10 minutes by boat. One solution is take a package ticket for some 20€ including boat + small tourist train to visit during some 45 minutes and by feet another 3 hours all this with a guide. If you have an outstanding guide like Jelena you will learn a lot... More

The tour is not that fun, the guide was boring and did not know anything in addition to what he has learnt by hear to mumble, every answer was: "hm, I don't know, I'd have to check", maybe he'll e-mail me the answers ;) ... But this is a beautiful island worth seeing. Rent a golf cart and go have... More

We paid 370kn each for a bus, boat and entrance to the Brijuni National Park from our hotel in Porec. We cannot fault the travel arrangements or the standard of the boat but be aware there is not much to see on the island. We thought we might see Tito's residence but it quickly became clear that all we would... More

A lovely island but the only access seems to be by an expensive trip boat from Fazana, itself a small attractive resort with many splendid fish restaurants. if you do go don't be persuaded to return by the boat they have on your ticket. You can catch a boat earlier or later, no one seems to check your return ticket... More
