St. Mark's Church is in a lovely situation on the town's main square,Kacic Square, and overlooked by the Biokovo Mountains. On the two occasions I visited it was very peaceful inside,an escape from the bustle of the town.

Along the water or through the town square is a beautiful, short and easy stroll full of charm. Have a meal at Konoba Kalalarga - it is not to be missed!

The Church of St. Mark's is centrally located in the town's main square. The church sits at the top of the stairs with the statue of the saint. The combination of church, sculpture and vegetation (palm trees) make the square a lovely place to visit.

St. Mark's Church is set picturesquely in in the middle of Makarska's main square. This large church boasts a beautiful interior.

This church dominates Makarska in the central square, inthe heart of the town.We were impressed with the building and wanted to go in as there was such beautiful singing however we simply enjoyed it sitting outside and looked out over the sea.

The best part about this is its a nice area to sit and relax in the Sunshine! Especially if it's windy and you can't enjoy the waterfront this place is blocked by all the tall buildings around it. The church is a typical church! Don't plan your day to visit it because you'll be done with it in minutes!

Situated in the heart of the old town of Makarska, this church looks a bit plain from the outside, but walk in through the door and it is a different story. Even more so when there is a christening taking place.
