We hired a small boat and puttered around the Pakleni islands for a day. They are truly incredible, so much to explore and so much to enjoy. Expect to pay around 400 kuna for a boat (includes petrol and an esky with ice if you ask!). Everyone talks about Parmiziana Bay in these other reviews which surprises me. Pakleni islands... More

We took a boat from Hvar island for a day and visited couple of islands and beaches. The best one we saw and spent time was Palmizana. we visited in May 2015 and it wasnt that crowdy so could get space on beach to relax. the restaurants (especially Toto's) were best in hospitality and food (do try their fresh fish... Go to the water taxi rank on the edge of St Stephens square and you will see the taxis to the islands advertising their times and prices. The boat we took close 60kuna return (£6). It left at 11 am and collected us at 4pm. When you arrive take the path up and across the little island to the beach... More

Take a boat in the harbour they leave about 10.30 in the morning or hire a boat for the day. Some of the prettiest bays with fantastic restaurants I have ever been on in my like. It is a must visit. Bring your swimming costume and go swimming and sun bathing and fine dining at the local restaurants.

Absolutely fabulous islands. Nature there is made for pure hedonism. Full of clear lagoons for swimming and with traditional restaurants with amazingly tasty traditional sea food.

From the Hvar pier you can flag down any pilot for a 15 min boat ride (10 euro) direct to Pakleni Islands. These are truly unbelievable. The water is so clear you can make out fish swimming near the bottom (~8m below). At the Tri Grede Restaurant choose one of the vibrant colour cushions and lay down over the white... More
