Having visited several islands I can say that each trip is worth visit by boat (we explored them on foot which is a bit harder way to enjoy their beauty and soak the sun). Jerolim is great, particularly the rocks as they are nudists friendly. Bays Ždrilica and Mlini are very nice as well but nothing compares to marvelous experience on... More

You can visit the palkemi islands either renting a boat or by taxiboat (around 40 kn two way). I visited the jerolim island, it has a restaurant and a small bar on the beach and is nudist welcoming! Worth it!

The restaurant was very good as was service. The bay was absolutely rammed though. My friend had problems finding a mooring spot and the boat was slightly damaged on rocks.

Beautiful islands. Most definitely a must see. Stipanska with the Carpe diem beach is just amazing. Go!

We went by boat taxi which was 40 kuna return ticket (4 pounds). They were just average beaches that were crowded by party goers

Hire a boat and explore these island yourself, its easy to find a quite cove to get away from the crowds. Plenty of guys offering boat hire on the main pier in Hvar town, you can get a 5hp/8hp boat for around €60/day, nothing fancy but does the job and fine for sunbathing and swimming off.

Tent a boat with some friends and cruise the island on your own. Boats are about $10 per person and gives you a bunch more freedom to find hidden, empty coves. Skip the touristy, crowded, sandy parmigiana beach unless that's what you like

Rent a boat and take it out to the islands. Keep going past the Carpe Diem crowds and rental yachts until you find your own private cove for relaxing and swimming. The fish are plentiful and water is so clear you can always see the bottom. The sea gulls may not like your presence, but there is no better place... More

These are a must to visit when you are in Hvar - either hire a boat and explore on your own or get one of the many water taxis to take you there from Hvar Town. Lovely beaches and snorkelling as well as lovely beach shacks.
