Old Town Visit

Cavtat is a great place to walk around! It's not that big, but it is worth your time. Walk around the entire peninsula area. Beautiful views of the Adriatic Sea.

Very small town but easily accessible to everything! Very friendly people. Several great restaurants with excellent views of the cove. Great access to bus to go to Dubrovnik and several small shops. Nice hiking area.

Not much to do or see. Few restaurants, bars, grocery stores and large harbor with some beautiful private yachts.

Cavtat is situated in a nestle of villages along the coast line near Dubrovnik. The village the restaurants the beer the ice cream the people are beautiful ill definitely visit again x you wouldn't need anymore than a few days here a week could be a tad repetitive. But a fab base.

Beautiful walks, peaceful and picturesque. Lots of lovely cafes and restuarants. The local people are always friendly and helpful. The service in the restaurants is always good, and prices for food and drinks are very reasonable. Easy to explore Dubrovnik either by local bus, but we recommend a trip on one of the local water taxis. Try to explore the... More

Very tranquil & worth walking round the monastery. Outstanding view of the bay. Lunch in one of the family restaurant is a very enjoyable experience - you can't beat fresh scampi in breadcrumbs

We stayed in Cavat for 4 days as I had read reviews that it was a lovely town close to Dubrovnik. It really is beautiful with its harbour, cafés bars and restraints. There are lots of little alleyways with quaint houses. We found it really relaxing and there were hardly any tourists. Sitting on a bench beside the harbour watching... More

We stayed in Cavtat for a week and enjoyed walking around the picturesque harbour, coastal paths, and steep alley ways (that start behind the restaurants/shops). There are plenty of cafes and restaurants for food, refreshments and gorgeous views. When we visited in March/April, Cavtat felt quite sleepy and unspoilt. However, we suspect it would feel very different in high season.... More
