Took the "taxi" boat from Dubrovnik old port and loved the sea trip ! In a hot day, what better travel to take than that! Took the days first line and came Cavtat early....if you like to swim and just soak in the sea, be sure that you have bikinis/trunks under your clothes and bring a towels with you. Chaises... More

Very charming Town and hidden gems of cobble stoned narrow streets, great restaurants, lovely marina filled with luxury yachts and great walks, particularly the Ronald Brown walk up to the military aircraft crash site

Cavtat is great of you are looking for a very mellow night or easy access to the airport. The walk on the peninsula was beautiful. The restaurants were well priced with a great variety. Old town was cute, but that was about it. Very good for older vacationing couples, not quite as much for the younger crowd.

Beautiful little place by the Harbour, you can stroll along and look at the boats, and have a drink or something to eat while enjoying the sunshine. There are plenty of places to eat and drink, you can take trips to Dubrovnik by boat or Montenegro by coach. This is our first visit and we shall definitely go back.

We stayed for the 1st week in September. Unfortunately it rained every day. Apparently they have had a poor summer. We can't blame cavtat for the weather. It is ideally located for a trip to Dubrovnik either on the local bus or the water taxi. Cavtat has several 'beaches' and the water is very clear. There are some good walks... More

Cavtat is a little gem, a must see if you visit Croatia, lots of nice resturants, and to see the huge Gin Palaces that moor up there is amazing.

I love Cavtat it has several harbours, nice walks around the headland. Its easy to catch either a bus to Dubrovnik or a boat. We hired a car and it was very cheap but not really required as we enjoy making use of the boats. Lots of small bars and restaurants, and all the hotels let us use their facilities.

A reason to book a long weekend or holiday in Cavtat alone. Though a few bars and nice restaurants, had the feel of quiet Mediterranean quay rather than a bar strip. Huge and beautiful yachts based in quay. Small souvenir shops, post office, small supermarket also gave place authentic feel.
