Writing this in hotel epidaurus following 10 miles on the ron brown trail with an all inclusive beer or two. The maps are ambiguous to say the least, but we started in cavtat on the main road to Dubrovnik near the over bridge. All roads going up seem to link to it. It is marked with painted circles but not... More

We had read about the pathway before we visited Cavtat and perhaps got the wrong impression as to how challenging it can be. I'm fat and 50 so nothing comes as easy as it used to! The path hairpins up the hillside from Cavtat to Velji Do and then higher to its summit where the air crash memorial cross is.... More

Finished this walk with aching legs, sore feet, sunburn and a massive grin on my face. I am usually allergic to exercise of all kinds but my husband was keen to experience the Ronald Brown walkway and Mt Strazisce, so I braved it. In a leather pencil skirt and Doc Martens for some reason. Take loads of water and maybe... More

We should first admit that we are keen walkers and so we'd brought our hiking boots with us which provided some valuable ankle support on the stonier patches of the track. We think, however, that the walk could be completed in sturdy trainers too. As we did this walk in early April we didn't have to do battle with the... More

We started our walk from Hotel Albatross, it wasn't well signposted until we hit the main road at Obod. Word of warning, this walk is not for the fainthearted or unfit. None of the information found warned of the state of the paths or the strenuous nature of the climb. The info says 90 minute walk which would be possible... More

we started out on this walk in Cavtat centre. In total it took us 6 hrs and about a 9 mile round trip. I am sure people can do it a lot quicker but as we are in our late 50's , did not walk that fast. There is some breath taking views on the way up and we did... More

Amazing walk, so close to Cavtat. Get directions, as it's a bit tricky to find the start. Then just follow the red/white painted dots. Probably worth going in early morning / afternoon to avoid the heat. Takes about 1hr 30 to get to the hamlet. The circular extension then goes up a track right, just before the restaurant. Don't continue... More
