Awesome beach made of small white marble stones. They are very smooth and comfortable, we actually preferred this to sand. The water around is crystal clear, especially in the evenings. Absolutelly lovely promenade walk from Bol town - around 1.9km on paved marble and in shades of trees - awesome way to stretch. If one feels lazy - there is... More

The beach itself is a pretty beach. We went towards the end of august so not peak season and it was overcrowded with sun loungers close together. We did anticipate this and didn't mind too much however there was one bar which played loud annoying dance music which for us somewhat spoilt the natural beauty of a beach.

Only good thing about this place is the food stalls, which try to sell reasonable stuff for a reasonable price. 25kn for fries and nuggets, 25kn for a fruit bowl. However: pebble beach, outrageous prices for parasols (50kn/day) and tired old sun beds (50kn/day), paid toilets (5kn to pee, 10 to shower), overpriced tourist stalls selling nets (35kn) and snorkel... Beyond the fact it is overcrowded by people including a certain kind lacking of any education and by sunchairs, the bar who had the nicest spot is playing a contest of the loudest, lousiest, and most distasteful music, killing the electronic music industry (i myself am a fan of electro). The louder the better, not mentionning the fastfood stand which... More

As a writter said, for the croatian beach is one of the best. The problem is because is too much people ( plus the island visitors they coming with the ships and boats). In the same time, there is a naturist beach, but is no demarcation for this, and you can see near you people naked. In rest the beach is nice, there... More

This beach is best visited in the early morning or off season...it was so packed and crowded that after just 1 hr. We had to leave...people stepping all over you, you cannot sleep or read on this beach....loud obnoxious people yelling, eating, no class! You are better off going under the walkway/ street on the rocks for some tranquility, peace,... More

Not a place for me. Too loud music, too crowded. Worst of all: no free showers or toilets! Nice place to visit but much more relaxing (but rocky) beaches you will found between Zlatni Rat and city centre.

On the good side, beautiful scenery, safe , some shade, clear turquoise waters.....on the bad side, surface similar to a car park, crowded, you have to pay to use the toilet (5kuna is not just a few pence as a previous reviewer stated), loud music unless you keep well away from the bars) sun-beds and parasols are expensive, but you... Bol and it's Zlatni Rat beach definitely made our trip. It's crowded but not close to as crowded as the beaches in Split, Hvar or Carpe Diem. No Sand really but soft enough to lay on the towels and enjoy the entire day. And the WATER, it's amazing, so deep and clear. Feeling like being in the Caribbean. The town... More
