Coming from the city, we don't have mountains and open spaces so it is very refreshing to watch a a performance on a stage that is set against the natural backdrop of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Depending on the weather and the clouds, it sets the mood and feel of the performance.
It was bright and sunny, not too cold...

We arrived on time, but the sales of tickets were slow, so I thought buying VIP tickets would give us better seats. Upon entering, I realized that all the VIP tickets were taken and the ushers will just tell you to "sit anywhere." So goes the extra pay...

Tickets are expensive so buy the cheapest (RMB 190 in Apr 2012). Seems like its free seating. Absolutely great show. Don't buy the CD sold onsite as its not worth it!

The costumes were beautiful and the backdrop of the mountain is stunning! I recommend the early morning show so you can go on to Yak Meadow after and beat the crowds. Great photo opps when the horses go around the theater---go to the top row and get close ups!

Choreography and magnificent outdoor setting with the snow capped Jade Dragon Snow Mountain as a backdrop. Lively and amazingly executed.

The only positive feedback was the location was awesome. It was performed in an outdoor theatre where the magnificent Jade Dragon mountain served as the backdrop. Other than the beautiful backdrop scenery, I'd say the show is average.

The show take place in an open air stadium above 3100 m of Altitude.
Colorfull, powerfull, lots of emotions even if like me you do not understand Mandarin (part of the show has english sub-titles).
Horses riding around the stadium at full speed or lovers departure from village were powerfull moments.
We bought VIP tickets which are giving you access...
