We visited Mt. Emei in September 2008. Mt. Emei is an excellent place for weekend trip. It's 2 hours' drive from Chengdu, the provincial capital of Sichuan, China. The bus service is cheap and good. My mother and I have just returned from a short trip to Chengdu and Mt Emei. Chengdu is lovely city and it's very modern.
