The frozen Pearl Shoal Waterfalls in December are amazing, they are like mini glaciers with water streaming through the ice that make the entire setpiece come alive. Loved it.

We proceeded to Pearl Shoals after visiting 5 Flowers Lake. We could see shallow waters rushing over the 160m wide travertine shelf, creating a noisy bubbling cascade which when seen from a distance, looks like a shawl of pearls draped across the hillside. We proceeded down the walkway, which was just next to the waters, making the walkway wet and... More

This was one of the highlights for me, in my visit to Jui Zhai Gou park, I can see why it is the most photographed attraction. Standing at the top of the waterfall you can feel the force and energy building as it releases the water down to the river below. A very pleasant walk down the steps next to... More

Only one public bus per day at 9 AM from the town to the airport. Taxi cost $60 CND. You have to fight hoards of Chinese nationals to take pictures and try to get on the buses. The multiple-bus system is not the most friendly. Thus, pushing and shoving is exasperated. Not many English signs. For these reasons, this natural... More

Stairs are well located just next to the waterfall for tourist to snap photos. So be very careful! The Waterfall is so refreshing and beautiful ! I love it better than the other waterfalls in the Reserve.

If you are into photography, there is a spot where you can photograph the fall with snow capped mountain in the background, just find a sturdy place for the tripod away from the crowd.

After an exhausting walk from Premival Forest to Grass Lake, Swan Lake and thereafter to Arrow Bamboo Lake, Panda Lake and the Five Flower Lake, the waterfall was stunningly refreshing and a rejuvenating respite for us. We were trying to find a real rest spot along that seemingly endless wooden broadwalk but could not find a good one until this... More

Take a walk from Five Coloured Lake (五花海) to Pearl Shoals Waterfall. It is a pleasant walk, not too strenous. Nearing the waterfall, be prepared for a human traffice jam down to the base of the waterfall as tourists will stop at every step to marvel and photograph it.
