As a Birmingham native I have seen many acts at the bjcc ( tori Amos/the eagles/page and plant/pink floyd lazer light show /the Birmingham Broadway production of Wicked, etc) although it had been a few years ,I took my husband and son to see Brit Floyd I was pleased to see the renovations to the area the enclosed parking area felt... We attended an energetic, exciting dance recital here in the Concert Hall. Seating was adequate for wheelchairs and a companion, and the staff monitored well who sat in the limited area. Acoustics, lighting, total access, all fantastic. The entire complex is enormous, but signage was helpful.

Poor parking. Poor management. Regularly schedule multiple events same night with same start and end time for nightmare traffic and parking issues. They want you to park at old SS building lot which is nasty. All this and they want to build a dome there too. Sound is horrible in the concert hall, they never use the theatre and the... More

We went here for the Bruno Mars concert this week, and I was a little disappointed. I expected pricey concessions, long lines, and a mix of personalities in the workers, but I didn't expect toilets that weren't flushing an hour before the concert even began. The climb to the seats was ridiculously steep, but I guess that's the norm anymore.... More

My friend and I attended the Joyce Meyer Conference in March 2014. Very friendly staff from the door greeters to the maintenance staff. The facility was clean and the staff was always walking around in case they were needed. The concession prices were very high, $3.50 for a bottle of water was crazy. The auditorium sound had a big echo... More

It's a small venue so a great place to see big acts if you are used to larger cities. That being said, everyone from the ticket takers, to the valet, to the HORRIBLE concessions people really take it down a long ways. The complex needs to review it's standards for employees and their concessions contracts.

We've been to three events at the BJCC in the last four months. It's the only auditorium in our area, so not much choice. The venue is OK. It always seems to be clean. The staff is terrific. They are all very friendly and helpful. And, the BJCC does get some good acts in! But, even though you get notices... More

The BJCC gets most of the good shows and events. The spaces are adequate, but the parking is expensive. The best that can be said about the staff I that you don't interact with them much. They are about as helpful as your typical DMV worker.

Narrow concourses and lacking in restroom facilities greet you once you get by the rude and poorly trained staff to get into the facility. Overpriced parking is nearby if you can get to it. the Concessions - the venue ones not the show ones - are overpriced and of very low quality. I purchased a hot dog and apparently it... More
