Awesome! Loved it! We took our teen daughter and she enjoyed as well! The director did a wonderful job as usual and we are looking forward to more concerts this upcoming season.

We visited Birmingham for the first time this past weekend to attend a Steve Winwood concert at the Univ of Alabama's Alys Stephens Performing Arts Center. Staff were friendly and helpful. The venue was quite nice & seats about 1300 people. There seemed to be plenty of parking available. We sat in the orchestra level where the view and sound... More

This is our own Alabama Symphony Orchestra! They are first rate musicians, have played at Carnegie Hall, and now we have a wonderful new conductor. We have season tickets for the Masterworks series.

As I've never been to the symphony before, this was a real treat. The venue is great, and I imagine that all the seats would be good.

I would highly recommend the Alabama Symphony for New Year's Eve. Every year they choose a composer and they do a wonderful job. The symphony with friends and a midnight toast is just the way to start the New Year!

Saw the orchestra play at the November coffee concert. Was a great experience that performed songs surrounding the theme of love. Very much enjoyed myself.

One of the finest, smaller symphony ensembles anywhere. Our band was invited to Carnegie Hall to perform in May, 2102. And a memorable performance it was. 700 symphony enthusiasts from Birmingham attended the concert (including my wife and I). One cannot do better when in Birmingham than to experience the Alabama Symphony (indoors or out-of-doors in the summer).

Having lived in NYC for the past decade, we'd become accustomed to excellent classical music at Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall, but when we arrived in Birmingham we wondered if the Alabama Symphony would measure up. It does, superbly, in every way. We've enjoyed their consistently high quality performances in the acoustically and aesthetically wonderful Jemison Concert Hall, and were... More

I have been attending at least 10 performances a year for the last few years, including their performance at Carnegie Center in NYC. They are a joy to listen to and a true treasure for Birmingham and Alabama. I was very proud to see them in NYC. They always put on a great performance. The energy in the audience is... More

Like most small symphonies, the Alabama Symphony struggled to remain relevant. It almost disappeared, but has come back strong with a group of talented musicians. Their concerts are always well attended and so is the pops series.
