This golf course is very close to Ross Bridge and has a really nice clubhouse. It must be great to have barbecues etc there. We had breakfast before we teed off and the breakfast sandwich was just what the doctor ordered. We played the Valley Course and it was a more gentle course than Ross Bridge, which was good as... Played both the Valley and Ridge courses. Both were very good but if you can only do one play the ridge which has more water and vertical. Great scenary. Plenty of tee boxes for any skill level. No GPS on carts. Good service from staff.

We played both the Ridge and Valley courses over two days. Both were in great shape considering it's late November. Greens rolled fast and true. The Ridge course is preferred due to the better views and variety of design although the Valley course is far from a slouch. The staff (starter, clubhouse and grill) were outstanding. Tough to find better.... More

I'm from South Florida and my friend is from Arizona. We'll been doing these annual golf outings for over ten years -in the Northeast and very often at Hilton Head. The Ridge course is one of the most scenic yet challenging courses we have played over the years. Narrow fairways, elevated greens, fast greens with 12-13 on the stimp meter.... More

Oxmoor Valley Ridge Course was very challenging with more than half of the holes having uphill approach shots. Large contoured greens made for interesting putting. Attractive layout. Nice clubhouse and range. Greens and bunkers were well kept. Unfortunately, when I booked it 7 days in advance, by phone, the staff neglected to tell me they were about to overseed the... More

This is out third trip to Alabama to play the Robert Trent Jones Trail and Oxmoor Valley Golf Course. The course was in the worst shape that I have ever seen it. The staff is nice, but this course will be eliminated from our Robert Trent Jones trail play. Several others are by far....much better!!!

Very nice course. Not to challenging but not easy at all. There are some very very good views on this course. The fairways are nice, the greens are well kept, and there is not a bad hole on the course. Some forced carries look intimidating but you will find that they are not that bad.

Make sure your cart is charged, because you are likely to die midway along the course. Fairly well kept and part of the "trail" Much cheaper than sister course at Ross Bridge and more payable by a weekend hacker.

...but if you have a choice...play Ross Bridge...it was superb!!! By far the crown jewel of the Robert Trent Jones courses in Alabama. Excellently maintained, extremely challenging and a great restaurant, club house and hotel await you when you finish.
