We have visited the center twice and each visit has produced hours of adventure and fun. The interactive stations are well suited to keep active and curious children busy. The imax show is a must and each time we were extremely pleased with the movie and the educational value. It's hard nowadays to find a family activity that challenges the... More

Make sure you plan for the entire day to go here. There is so much to do and the kids have a blast learning science! Highly recommend doing an IMAX movie while you are there. Very worth it! If you don't PACK A LUNCH it's okay. They have a food court and lots of different choices. The prices aren't that... More

My husband and I took our 13 month old, while I wish they had a little more for such a young child, he still found plenty to entertain himself with. Luckily we went on a weekday so it wasn't horribly crowded and he could run around and play with activities he might have been overwhelmed by older kids with on... More

The McWane Center is kindly hosting the conference I'm attending. What an incredible place for adults & kids! The exhibits are kid (& adult) friendly. I'm really impressed with all of the activities. Just wish I had time to watch all of the IMAX movies!

We have been here a few times . We always have a great time. I recommend having a full day. There is so much to do that I wouldn't rush it. It is a great place for kids to have "hands on" science. I love a place that will make my kids think but have fun at the same time.... More

lots of things to capture attention and imagination of wide age of children. We had a 4 year old, an 8 year old and an11 year old with us and they all enjoyed it. The food selection leaves a little to be desired but it's o.k. Pizza always pleases kids.

There have been numerous times I've asked my girls, "Where would you like to go visit this weekend?" and many times they've answered, "Birmingham! So we can go to McWane Center!" They've probably been ten times each and would go ten more easily. It's well worth the admission fee and tons of stuff to do indoors for an entire day!
