Fun and learning never end at McWane Science Center, a nonprofit, hands-on museum and IMAX(R) Dome Theater. Four floors of interactive exhibits celebrate science and wonder - from an amazing collection of dinosaurs to innovative environmental showcases, imaginative early childhood playgrounds, and an awe-inspiring aquarium. The energy and excitement of discovery spring to life through an extensive lineup of science demonstrations performed daily by talented educators. The adventure intensifies in the IMAX(R) Dome Theater, where wide-eyed visitors experience the sights and sounds of breathtaking films on a 5-story-tall screen surrounded by 3 tons of high-intensity speakers.

Our children are 6 and 9 and love the McWane Center. We have been going since they were 2 and 5. They are always adding new exhibits. The new Itty Bitty City is AMAZING!!! The children were entertained for hours in this area. I can't say enough good things about the McWane Center. There are 4 floors so don't expect... More

First time visit I was really impressed with their military discount. (Active Duty and Dependents are totally free) As for the museum it's self it was amazing there was plenty of cool hands on stuff for the kids to do and lots of demonstrations and activities going on. The museum it's self was clean and well maintained. We stayed for... More

I wish TripAdvisor would let me give 6 stars. McWane is wonderful! I had been struggling for activities for my 12 month old - too young for playgrounds but too active to be content staying at home all day. Itty Bitty Magic City is incredible! She was challenged and intrigued by the exhibits (she especially loved the water area) but... More

great children attraction. rides games and educational pow-wows provide and intriguing experience for kids of all ages. the cafe is a little pricy but wrist band costs make up for it. i-max theater is also a beautiful sight.

We were members for years when my boys were little and even though they are older now and we can't go frequently they still love it. Interesting exhibits. Clean. Rarely anything out of order. The dinosaur and aquarium exhibits are real winners every time. The special visiting exhibits are varied and worthwhile without the extra fees so many other places... More

We went to the McWane Science Center with a two year old and we all had a blast. The two year old was asleep when we arrived so we enjoyed the exhibits until she woke up. Once she woke up we spent time exploring the "toddler" area (don't know what it's called). There was plenty for a two year old... More

My husband, 12 year old son and I spent an afternoon here. There were four floors with exhibits including a shark and ray tank, dinosaurs, a motion sensor video game, a bike on a wire up in the air, a basketball shooting game, and much more. Our favorite exhibit however was a room of bubbles. The traveling exhibit was on... More

We went to the McWane Science Center with our 2 girls and they had a blast. Not only is it kid-friendly but we, as parents, got involved with some of their fun activities. Definitely worth a visit if you have children.
