lots of things to capture attention and imagination of wide age of children. We had a 4 year old, an 8 year old and an11 year old with us and they all enjoyed it. The food selection leaves a little to be desired but it's o.k. Pizza always pleases kids.

There have been numerous times I've asked my girls, "Where would you like to go visit this weekend?" and many times they've answered, "Birmingham! So we can go to McWane Center!" They've probably been ten times each and would go ten more easily. It's well worth the admission fee and tons of stuff to do indoors for an entire day!

We decided to take a quick overnight trip to Birmingham. We found a great deal with a downtown hotel that included McWane Center admission with the cost of lodging. My 4 year had a great time trying each of the experiments. The 2 year old enjoyed the play area designated for the younger children. This place truly had something for... More

I'm a kid at heart, so I loved it! Great place for kids/families. Fun, interactive, educational. The touch tank where you could pet stingrays and small sharks was my favorite. It was like a science museum, zoo, and aquarium all in one!

We spent four hours here, and could have easily stayed longer. Our kids enjoyed the lower level most since they love ocean creatures. Each level had a lot to offer. They were able to make slime with the help of some of the workers. All workers we encountered were enthusiastic and helpful. There were lots of interactive experiments that were... More

Great way to spend the better part of a day! Plenty of things to keep the kids entertained (and parents too!) while learning. You can also catch a movie on IMAX and they have a snack bar.

I've seen the Jerusalem presentation twice this summer. The attendants were all friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in managing the long lines.

This was a fun place to visit, and my daughter seemed to enjoy it. She's very low-key and probably didn't utilize all of the fun gadgets. But we enjoyed ourselves. It was a little crowded (on a summer Saturday) but it was large enough to handle all the groups. We didn't feel overcrowded.
