We stoppped by Railroad Park after a Barons baseball game recently. There were people everywhere and LOTS of police telling rowdy kids to get out of there. I did NOT feel safe at all. We definitely won't be going back!!

I love this park-walking, napping, picnicing, or riding bikes. Thanks to the Baron's you can see fireworks!

I'm not a fan of Birmingham. There aren't many parks or great open spaces compared to other cities. Railroad Park is a diamond in this city. It is great for exercise, relaxation, and spending time with friends or family. You can easily take a lawn chair or a blanket, a frisbee, and a picnic, and have a wonderful day or... More

This park is clean & wide open! A really fantastic place for the kids to run around. It's even better if your family enjoys seeing trains. You could easily spend a couple hours sitting on the lawn, playing on the playground, watching the koi & carp in the pond or just taking a stroll. I wish we found this park... More

Despite what a few overly-critical individuals say, Railroad park is a great place to spend an afternoon with the family. The city has really done a terrific job in revamping the park and it feels very safe and inviting! Right next to the ball field, it is a great development in the heart of downtown!

The park is really quite nice. I didn't expect much for the location but it is a nice little park for jogging or walking. I came here for a day vacation and thought the park was a nice thing to just walk around and see a little bit of the city. It is well taken care of.

I like this place because you can do your own thing here. You can walk or run on the paths, do stretches and various exercises on the equipment provided. There are refreshment centers for during the day/weekend choices. But I just love to walk here. It's open and lit year-round with police patrolling the area. I feel safe here. Many... More

I had seen the park on previous visits but was finally able to walk through the park and really enjoy it during this visit. It is very impressive. Beautiful design makes the park family friendly and also great for joggers and walkers. I was very impressed with the design and the upkeep of the park. It's a first rate facility-... More

This is a great public park in downtown Bham. There are great areas for kids/walkers/runners. There are clean bathrooms and free excercise classes in the warmer months. There have been issues of crim. But the security has been beefed up. I still would not go there at night by myself or would not park my car too far away. Unless... More
