What a lovely town. Really feels like we go backwards in time. And full of life too. It is hard to find. You reach Fuli and you have to walk alot and past the market to get to the... read more

Another touristy town but with quite a lot of character. We visited during the market day and it was packed - there is an abundant selection of organic vegetables and produce available in the market, as well as basic clothes and other items. Not really much to buy as a tourist, but a fun day out from Yangshuo. The way... More

We wanted to buy a hand-painted fan and were told that this was the best place to go in the area. We were not disappointed as we spent time discussing with one of the artists what we wanted. This family business is a must-see, and one of their very, very reasonably priced fans in different sizes a wonderful momento of... More

We rode to Fuli on an electric bike (took about 30 mins) from Yangshuo. Once we arrived there were your typical tourist stalls selling scarves, paintings and fans etc..outside. This street leads around to the river. You can get a raft boat here (but this didn't really interest us). We walked around the buildings a few times as we didn't... More

What a lovely town. Really feels like we go backwards in time. And full of life too. It is hard to find. You reach Fuli and you have to walk alot and past the market to get to the ancient town which then rests by the river. It took us a while to find it but it was well worth... More

If you are a photo person, this place abounds with opportunities. We loved what was going on all around us. The people were friendly, the stuff we saw was excellent. Be nice, ask if you can take pictures, by gesturing. Most are very good about it. Keep your eye on scenes within scenes on the streets. This, to me, was... More

Get a glimpse of authentic ancient China in this small Chinese village. Walk the street with the locals, see how they live and work. Great photos ops. Also have a market selling handicrafts - silk, fans, etc. Located just around the corner from Banyan Tree resort.

Deliberately waited for a market day to visit. A real opportunity to see a local market, clothing, household items, lovely fresh fruit & veg and then the livestock. Lots of chickens & ducks, in cages & baskets, fish, river snails, bags of frogs and unfortunately, dogs. Lots of food, including giant pork buns, for lunch if you're inclined. A window... More

Architecturally, no 2 great shakes, but a good place to wander up and down and buy reasonably priced artwork , including hand painted fans. If you are in yangshuo, hire a taxi for half a day (159 yuan ) and include it in a river trip and other visits. A decent taxi driver will negotiate a decent price for you... More

Great to see the area where they make fans, but overall the main street from the bus stop is dirty, dusty, and uninviting. Going back into the market and then the fan street is more interesting, but overall not much worth seeing unless you came for a fan. Many of the fans seem commercialized and if you're not careful you'll... More
