Came here one evening during our stay. (we stayed outside of town). It was disappointing. Very commercial. Nothing of particular note except to see foreigners selling sausages in small sausage stands. Interesting.

We spent time on West Street while waiting for our performance of Impressions Sanje Liu. We enjoyed the calligrapher and the many artisans on the street. We wish we could have spent more time there. My husband and sons did the foot spa with live, devil fish nibbling their toes to clean and soften and soften their feet. THAT was... More

We enjoyed our visit here after the river cruise. Load of stalls to look at. Lots going on. Great atmosphere in the evening. Lots of restaurant too serving a wide variety of cultural dishes from all nations! Definitely worth a visit.

Many would have deemed the West Street to be too touristy but there were traces of century old architecture, shops with decades of history etc. Add in bars and clubs and you know it draws in a much wider spectrum of visitors! Aside from the West Street, do remember to check out the nearby Green Lotus Peak (along main West... More

The street has turned into a concept of CHinese and Western Culture with an emphasis of trying to emulate big city bar and restaurant streets in Chicago, LA and maybe New York. Every bar has a gimmick. One Blues. One Pop. One Dance. One just a smoke lounge club. They way they dress - they imitate western culture. Fun and... More

With pedestrians only, it is a good break from having motor bikes from all sides. Shops are all right. I recommend checking out the street food. I liked it.

It depends what you looking for. We espaced this place after 5 minutes of walking there as it was full of crap. People were taking pictures of us even if we were asking them not to. Some party lovers and people with pockets full of money may love it. We say a huge NO to it!
