We rode bicycle from city center, Yangshuo, to the bamboo raft put in. They brought our bikes to the take out, but a bike would fit on large rafts. Even though it is not customery to tip in China, it is OK and expected to tip the raft paddler. You will make their day :)

A highlight of the trip for the kids. One adult and one child allowed per raft, though our friends were able to put one adult and two children on the raft. We purchased super soakers from a vendor on the river so that the kids could spray each other across the rafts - would have been much cheaper to buy... More

After hiking up the mountains for 3 days to take scenic photos, a long relaxing ride down the Yulong river is the best way to end it. For 100rmb/person(200rmb per boat) you will be going down the river for 8km and 1.5 hours. During the winter it is nice and quiet, There was barely anyone on the river at a... More

Bamboo rafting along the Li River will definitely be a highlight of your Guilin-Yangshuo trip. The majestic mountains and calm waters are worth every yuan. The whole ride was very relaxing and calming. I believe that this is a much better choice than the cruise because you have more privacy and are closer to the water and scenery. If travelling... We cycled through villages and beside the river for and hour until we reached Yulong Bridge where we boarded two-seater bamboo rafts and gently drifted for an hour and a half downstream. It was a wet day but the rain did not detract from our enjoyment of the beautiful scenery and the serenity of watching the world go by.

We cycled to the Yulong Bridge where there are plenty of bamboo rafts available for hire. Not exactly sure where we got off as the maps of this area never make sense, but we spent about an hour on the raft travelling downstream with our bikes loaded on board. The weather was quite warm and humid, so the river gave... More

Experience beauty and nature rather than polluted Venice. Take a trip to world famous Yanshuoa . With exotic mountain ranges and flowing river, you can't go wrong.

Even we went during China Labor Day, which the river is fully filled with bamboo rafts, still this is something you shall not turn down. If you have time do the whole trip (ask local guide they will tell you there are two parts of the river and most people only do the first half which is about 1.5hours). It... More
