A very average park and one can find something similar (or better) in almost any city across China. Nothing special. Chaozhou has many better sights to offer.

Rated this three rather than a four because it is nice place to visit but would not go out of my way to come here. It is peaceful and scenic but if you come from the other side of the world it is one of those places you can skip.

the park surrounding is peaceful, lots of people on a Sunday. You can drive into the park. Dont like the commercialization of a amusement center theme with shooting games, rides etc.

The noise and chaos of hundreds of tour groups was soon forgotten once abord of the boats that glide you across West Lake. On the other side there were few tourists and we enjoy the lush garden paths and tranquil scenery. West Lake is well worth a visit.
