The design of the house is like a maze with passageways leading to courtyards and rooms. We took a while to complete visiting all the exhibits. However the exhibits are great for learning about the design logic behind the traditional houses as well as for kinder standing some of the teochew traditions such as "coming ou of the garden". The walls of the complex are concrete with cardboard covering that has a brick montage printed on top; that's right, they couldn't even be bothered to use actual bricks to rebuild the place. The wood was freshly varnished, and even then wasn't the color of anything else I have seen here to boot. The end result: poor decoration and reconstruction+sickening... More
