quite Temple

If you like temples you can go to Tianhou temple and spend there half hour. It's pretty small but nice

If you like temples you can go to Tianhou temple and spend there half hour. It's pretty small but nice

This temple is not spectacular, but still nice to visit. It's located on a nice square where you can see the remains of an old city gate. Inside the temple there are some square columns that come from an old Indian temple, dating from a time when Quanzhou was an important port. You'll see them, because they look very different... Tianhou temple of Quanzhou was built during the Qing Dynasty in 1196. It is a medium size temple, very clean, well maintained and rich in colour. It has the typical ancient architectures for ancient temples in Fujian province, China. This is a place for worshippers and not many overseas tourists especially western tourists can be seen here.
