Views from Huang Shan are beautiful like those you see in Chinese paintings. However, they are only visible on a clear day. Once the fog comes in, you won't be able to see anything. Same for sunrise and sunset. However, be prepared for lots of climbing up and down stairs. It can be very tiring and a walking stick does... More

We went to Mt. Huangshan on the last weekend of September. Although the weather forecast changed constantly, we were lucky and the weather turned to be great with no rain at all! We read a lot of comments here about travelling during the weekend but from our experience, it wasn't bad at all (we can say that do try to... More

We visited the yellow Mt. this September and were so disappointed to have come all the way and see very little. It was rainy (bring an umbrella) and the the moist was too thick to see through. We planned on walking around taking different routes but this plan changed when we realized we would 'see' the same from any angle.... More

I've lived in China for 2 years, and this was the most amazing place I visited whilst I was there. Incredible scenery, lovely walks. I recommend taking the time to walk up the mountain and down the other side. I'm not a fit person and some parts were a little steep, but I survived no worries. Just stop when you... More

Beautiful views! Great hike. Many tourists - try and go on a weekday when crowds are presumably better.

Staggering mountain views and well-laid out trails - great for a day of hiking. BUT, when we went it was utterly heaving. We couldn't get away from people at any point, and on some of the single-path descents we were in a massive queue.

Out of the city by a long way, for those who are not Olympic standard take the cable car, after which you can explore. Woud suggest that winter is probably the best time to visit. On my visit in September, temperatures were still high and most of the views were not available - mist everywhere

With a good cable car system. Beautiful awesome view. Easy to trek. Bring at least 3 bottles of water. And some energy biscuits or snacks. Bring along raincoats and umbrella or a hat. If you can bring an extra shirt for change. You will definitely sweat. Buy a walking stick and before you start your trek make sure you visit... More

My friends and i visited this place around late Feburary 2014, when the weather was still cooling, we did not perspired much while trekking up. The scenery is amazing and breathtaking where you can see beautiful mountains everywhere, and take rest points in-between to enjoy the scenery. However this place is too big, there are different mountains on top of... More

I search the internet, and finally decided to go with chinatours.net. We had a great time, and the organization was excellent. We decided to hike up, yes, climbed the Five Thousand steps to the top. Well worth it, you feel a sense of achievement compared to all those who too the cable car! We spent 2 nights in a hotel... More
